Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, and Laura Dern walk the carpet while attending the 2020 EE British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party on Saturday (February 1) at Kensington Palace in London, England.

All three women, who played a family in the movie Little Women, are nominated for awards!

Saoirse is up for Best Actress and Florence is up for Best Supporting Actress, both for their work in Little Women. Laura is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Marriage Story. The awards show takes place this Sunday!

Little Women received several nominations for the 2020 Oscars this morning, but director Greta Gerwig was noticeably snubbed from the list.

Some of the stars of the film are not happy about this snub.

“I’m really happy that the Academy recognized [Gerwig] for Adapted Screenplay and Picture, and I feel like if you’ve been nominated for Best Picture, you have essentially been nominated for Best Director,” Saoirse Ronan, who was nominated for her performance in the film, told Deadline. “But to me, Greta, since she started, has made two perfect films, and I hope when she makes her next perfect movie, she gets recognized for everything, because I think she’s one of the most important filmmakers of our time.”

Florence Pugh, who was also nominated for her work in the film, said “[It's] a big blow, especially because she created a film that is so her and so unique and it’s just come out of her, and it’s been a story she’s wanted to do for so long. I think everybody’s angry and quite rightly so. I can’t believe it’s happened again, but I don’t really know how to solve it. I don’t know what the answer is, other than we’re talking about it.”

There were some other massive snubs from the 2020 Academy Awards nominations list as well.

The two stars of Little Women met up with their director, Greta Gerwig and her partner, Noah Baumbach, on the blue carpet.

Saoirse is up for Best Actress, Florence for Best Supporting Actress, Greta is nominated for Best Director and the film is up for Best Picture at the award show tonight.

Make sure to tune in tonight for the Critics’ Choice Awards, hosted by Taye Diggs, which will air on The CW at 7pm EST. The show honors the best in both movies and TV.

FYI: Florence wore a Prada dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, Messika jewelry, and Maria Tash earrings. Saoirse wore an Erdem dress, Tamara Mellon shoes and Niwaka jewelry. Greta is wearing an Alberta Ferretti tuxedo.

Cynthia Nixon noticed that the new Little Women movie shares an almost identical shot to a scene in Sex and the City!

The 53-year-old Sex and the City actress took to Instagram on Tuesday (January 7) to point her discovery out to fans.

“Saw #Little Women this weekend,” she captioned the two photos. “Loved it.”

She added, “Seemed familiar somehow….@SJP @iamkristindavis @kimcattrall @minordetailsNYC.”

The photos show Cynthia walking arm-in-arm with her co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall. Below it, Little Women‘s Eliza Scanlen, Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, and Florence Pugh can be seen in the same pose with similar hairstyles and outfits!

SJP commented, “Who did this? @cynthiaenixon is this your clever work???? I haven’t seen yet. My daughter’s saw it this weekend and loved it! Xxx.”
