Robert Downey, Sr. has sadly passed away, his wife confirmed to the New York Daily News. He was married to bestselling author Rosemary Rogers, who was home at the time of his death.

The 85-year-old filmmaker, responsible for films like Putney Swope and Greaser’s Palace, passed away in his sleep on Wednesday (July 7) at his home in New York City. Robert Sr. is the father of actor Robert Downey, Jr.

In addition to directing credits, Robert Sr. also acted in films like Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and To Live And Die in L.A.

He had also been battling Parkinson’s Disease.

Our thoughts are with Robert‘s entire family, as well as his friends and loved ones during this difficult time. RIP.

Suzzanne Douglas has sadly died at the age of 64.

The actress, who is best known for her role in the WB series, The Parent ‘Hood, passed away on Tuesday (July 6), according to a family member’s Facebook.

Via Essence, Suzzanne‘s cousin wrote about the heartbreaking news. No cause of death was revealed.

“Suzzanne Douglas a beautiful and talented actress made her transition today. She warmed our hearts on movie screens and television sets all over the world. This beautiful soul was my cousin,” they wrote.

The post went on, saying, “I can remember growing up, there weren’t very many black actresses who had starring roles but there was my cousin with the lead role in Tap starring alongside great dancers such as Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr. She also performed with Angela Bassett and Whoopi Goldberg in How Stella Got Her Groove Back, The Inkwell, Jason’s Lyric and so much more the list goes on. The world will miss your talent but your soul will live on forever Rest in Paradise my beautiful cousin Suzzane you will be missed RIP”

Suzzanne most recently starred in Netflix’s When They See Us, and 2015′s Whitney as Cissy Houston.

Many fans will also recognize Suzzanne from her roles in How Stella Got Her Groove Back and Tap.

Dilip Kumar, a legendary Indian actor, has sadly passed away at the age of 98, according to multiple reports.

Via local newspapers, his family and doctor revealed that Dilip died on Wednesday morning (June 30) at a Mumbai hospital after a prolonged illness.

Reports added that he had been in and out of the hospital for the past month after being first admitted with breathlessness and then diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion, which is a build-up of excess fluid between the layers of the pleura outside the lungs.

Dilip is regarded as the finest actor India has ever produced.

He had a career that spanned five decades, and starred in many classic films of Indian cinema.

Dilip was awarded the inaugural Filmfare Award for best actor in 1954, and is tied with Shah Rukh Khan for most wins at eight.

Dilip was married to actor Saira Banu, since 1966. They had no children.

The Italian singer, dancer and actor passed away on Monday (July 5) at the age of 78, her longtime partner Sergio Iapino confirmed in a statement to ANSA, via Deadline.

Daniel Mickelson, who was a rising star in the acting world, has sadly died at the young age of 23.

The actor appeared in the 2019 series Mani and in the indie horror film The Killer Clown Meets the Candy Man. His younger sister, model Meredith Mickelson, shared the devastating news on her Instagram account on Monday (July 5).

Daniel died on the Fourth of July and lots of celebrities are speaking out to pay tribute to the late actor.

Richard Donner has sadly died at the age of 91.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the famed director passed away just recently. No cause of death has been revealed at this time.

Richard started as an actor in New York before heading behind the camera.

His career really took over when he helmed 1976′s The Omen, which was a $2 million film that grossed $60 million in the U.S. and spawned two sequels.

He was best known for The Goonies, Lethal Weapon and Superman. He also directed The Toy, Inside Moves, and Scrooged. His final film was in 2006 with Bruce Willis, called 16 Blocks.

Richard leaves behind his wife, X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner, who he married in 1985, after they met when she hired him to direct fantasy film Ladyhawke.
