Maggie Gyllenhaal and her husband Peter Sarsgaard hit the red carpet at the opening night of the musical Sunday in the Park with George on Thursday night (February 23) at the Hudson Theatre in New York City.

The actress stepped out to see her brother Jake Gyllenhaal perform in his return to Broadway.

Other celebs at the opening included Uzo Aduba, cute couple Zoe Kazan and Paul Dano, Cobie Smolders, Fran Drescher, Holland Taylor, Kathy Najimy, Rosie O’Donnell, Holly Hunter, and Bernadette Peters, who starred in the original production of the Broadway show.

Jake is starring in the benefit concert performances of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George alongside Annaleigh Ashford.

Showtimes for the limited run are October 24 at 6 PM, October 25 at 7 PM, and October 26 at 2 PM and 7:30 PM.

The film follows a journalist strikes up a romantic relationship with notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar and is set to be released in 2017.

The movie stars Chris Pratt, Denzel Washington, Haley Bennett, and a great cast of other actors. It follows seven gun men in the old west who gradually come together to help a poor village against savage thieves.

“Chris is great,” Denzel said in an interview with ABC. “I can see why he’s so popular. There’s another actor that I worked with, whatever, 20 years ago, by the name of Hanks who had that same quality about them, that you just really like them — aside from their obvious talent, they’re good people and it comes across on screen.”

Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke suit up for the premiere of their movie The Magnificent Seven held at the Museum of Modern Art on Monday (September 19) in New York City.

The actors were joined at the event by their co-star Haley Bennett.
