Nat Wolff is revealing exactly how he got into character for his upcoming animated film Leap!
In the movie, the 22-year-old actor voices “lovable goofball” Victor, who helps an orphan girl pursue her dreams of becoming a ballerina as she flees her rural Brittany for Paris. There, she passes for someone else and accedes to the position of pupil at the Grand Opera house.
“My preparation for this role is, I spent six months in an orphanage,” Nat said in Just Jared‘s exclusive behind-the-scenes video. “No, I’m just kidding.”
“I’d never done an animated film before,” he continued. “So I watched some of my favorite animated movies from when I was a kid, like the three Toy Story movies that I love, Finding Nemo, and Cars … just cause I wanted to get into that world. It is definitely a different animal, and I learned a lot going through the process.”
Leap! also stars Elle Fanning, Carly Rae Jepsen, Maddie Ziegler, and more.
