Jimmy Kimmel became emotional during his Jimmy Kimmel Live! monologue on Monday (May 1) while revealing that he and his wife Molly welcomed a son, William “Billy” Kimmel, and he underwent a successful open heart surgery days after he was born.

The 49-year-old late night host had tears in his eyes while discussing the situation with his son.

Since the big reveal, which has since gone viral, Jimmy and Molly have been receiving a ton of support from celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres, Hillary Clinton, and more.

Jimmy Kimmel has revealed that his wife Molly recently welcomed their second child together, a baby boy named William “Billy” Kimmel, and he underwent a successful open heart surgery days after he was born.

The 49-year-old late night talk show host opened the Monday (May 1) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live with an emotional monologue in which he tearfully talked about what he went through in the hospital following his son’s birth on April 21.

Billy underwent open heart surgery after it was discovered that he wasn’t getting enough oxygen, which was caused by a heart issue.

At the end of the monologue, Jimmy encouraged viewers to donate to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as no family should have to decide if they can afford to save their child’s life.

Jimmy‘s show will be guest hosted by his friends this week while he is on paternity leave.

Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney are getting ready to welcome their second child!

The 49-year-old talk show host made the big announcement during his monologue on Monday evening (December 5), just hours after revealing that he’s hosting the Academy Awards next year.

“My wife, is hosting a baby inside her body. So that’s what’s coming,” he said.

Jimmy added, “We got the ultrasound – which is weird because it’s like you’re already spying on the baby – but we asked the technician not to tell us whether we’re having a boy or a girl…We want that to be a surprise.”

“So – there’s a lot of exciting stuff going on. Congratulations to me. I’m hosting the Oscars and I had sex. Two things as a teenage boy I never thought would be possible,” he joked.

Jimmy and Molly are already parents to two-year-old Jane. Jimmy is also father to Katie and Kevin from a previous relationship.

Emma Stone is all smiles on the red carpet while attending Bill Murray’s 2016 Mark Twain Prize Ceremony held at The Kenny Center on Sunday (October 23) in Washington, DC.

The 27-year-old actress was joined at the event by Sigourney Weaver, Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney, Bill Hader, Aziz Ansari and honoree of the night, Bill Murray.

Emma, who co-starred alongside Bill in Aloha, noted that he “brings a kind of generosity and caring” to everything around him (via USA Today).

“I worked with Bill on two Ghostbusters movies and we did this love scene. … Where the hell is my prize?,” joked Sigourney during her speech.
