Malcolm Barrett‘s mom made a surprise move while he was speaking on stage at an event!

The 37-year-old actor stepped out for the screening of NBC and Sony Pictures Television Series Timeless held at the Smithsonian National Museum Of American History on Thursday (March 9) in Washington, D.C.

He was joined by his Timeless co-stars Matt Lanter and Abigail Spencer.

“At the heart of this series is a bunch of humans who are going through superhuman experiences and they all grow in taking on these challenges together,” Malcolm said during the panel discussion after the screening.

That’s when Malcolm‘s mom headed right for the stage to give her son a kiss on the cheek!

“When you’re speaking at the Smithsonian And your mom, coming from NY, interrupts to give you a kiss on the cheek cause she still yo momma. #Timeless #historyfilmforum,” he captioned the photo below.

Matt Lanter takes a break on set during a busy day of filming on Wednesday afternoon (February 1) in Vancouver, Canada.

The 33-year-old actor rocked a fedora and overcoat as he filmed a scene for an upcoming episode of his hit show Timeless.

Matt recently took to Instagram to share a silly video of himself and Malcolm Barrett joking around on set.

“It’s in my contract that @verbalberappin can’t sing this around me,” Matt captioned the below post.

Blindspot‘s Sullivan Stapleton and Archie Panjabi also stopped by the event to discuss Archie joining the cast.

Colin Donnell, Brian Tee and Yaya Dacosta from Chicago Med were also in attendance to promote the show and confirm a new doctor would be joining the cast.

The 26-year-old former Vampire Diaries actress joined Jamie Chung, Matt Lanter and his wife Angela, Sharni Vinson, Ryan Guzman, and Kendrick Sampson.

Also seen inside the party were Nickelodeon star Sydney Park, Callan McAuliffe, Ian Harding, and The 100‘s Ricky Whittle.

“The Beauty Book For Brain Cancer” is available at local book stores and online at www.thebeautybook.org. 50% of proceeds from the purchase will go to Voices Against Brain Cancer while the other 50% will go to the Sydney Neurology Oncology Group.

“I’d say the greatest challenge was the 1130pm phone call after a whole day of shooting telling me that I lost my location…for 7AM the next morning. I had scouted a beautiful spot up in Malibu and my DP Edd Lukas and I were all set and so happy only to find out we needed to scramble, think of something else and cancel everyone’s call times after they were all asleep,” AnnaLynne shared exclusively to JustJared.com about the toughest challenge shooting the short film, which she also produced, directed, and wrote.

She added, “Thankfully, I had a brainstorm at 4am and rewrote the first half of the film. Edd came over the next morning and we scouted near my home. We found our replacement locations and ultimately movie magic happened. In the end, I rang up my old producer on 90210 and apologized for anytime I complained about schedules or didn’t care for the drives to locations or didn’t understand my scene order. He laughed and said, ‘We producers, normally just shrug our shoulders because, well…. You’re actors.’”
