Matt Damon is looking ripped these days and he showed off his toned arms while carrying a surfboard at the beach on Sunday (July 12) in Malibu, Calif.

The 49-year-old actor spent the day surfing with his family (not pictured).

Matt spent the first couple months of the COVID-19 quarantine in Ireland, where he was working on a movie. He traveled home in late May and was spotted spending some time with his longtime BFF Ben Affleck on several occasions.

Ben and Matt, along with their kids, were spotted attending a Black Lives Matter memorial for the late Breonna Taylor last month.

A few weeks ago, Matt made a funny appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live after the host announced he was taking a break from the show.

Earlier this week, Jimmy announced that he will be taking the next couple of months off from Jimmy Kimmel Live! to spend more time with his family. During the summer, guest hosts will be filling in for Jimmy.

After making the announcement from his home, Jimmy is interrupted by Matt coming out of one of Jimmy‘s rooms while wearing a robe, saying that he’s been waiting three months to come onto the show.

Matt then revealed that he’s been living in Jimmy‘s house during the quarantine. After some back and forth, Jimmy sees his wife Molly wearing a robe while sneaking out of the room Matt was in.

“That’s my wife. Why is my wife in the room?” Jimmy asks as Matt responds, “Why do you think she’s in the room?”

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are joined by some of their kids while attending a memorial for the late Breonna Taylor on Friday afternoon (June 5) in downtown Los Angeles.

The longtime friends brought their kids to pay their respects on what would have been Breonna‘s 27th birthday. She was killed on March 13 when police entered her apartment unannounced and shot her eight times.

The officers were at the wrong address and looking for a suspect who had already been taken into custody. None of them have been fired or charged for Breonna‘s murder.

Before she was killed, Breonna was an award-winning EMT who had been working on the frontlines of COVID-19 and she had plans to become a nurse.

Ben, Matt, and the kids were clearly moved by Breonna‘s story and made sure to pay their respects in person. They all carried bouquets of flowers to place at the memorial.

Later that day, Matt was spotted hitting the bike trails in Malibu with a friend.

Matt and his family must have just recently returned home to California, since they were originally quarantining in Ireland. He also revealed this his 21-year-old stepdaughter Alexia, who lives in New York City, had contracted the virus, but has recovered.

Right before the pandemic hit, production for Matt and Ben‘s upcoming movie The Last Duel had just started in France.

Matt and his family must have just recently returned home to California, since they were originally quarantining in Ireland. He also revealed this his 21-year-old stepdaughter Alexia, who lives in New York City, had contracted the virus, but has recovered.

Matt Damon, his wife Luciana, and their three daughters Isabella, 13, Gia, 11, and Stella, 9, are all quarantining in the small town of Dalkey, Ireland, and he’s explaining why.

“I’m in the middle of a movie that I shot the first half in France and we were moving to Ireland and kind of right when we arrived in Ireland, the movie was shut down,” Matt explained during an appearance on SPIN 1038 Fully Charged.

He also added that his 21-year-old stepdaughter Alexia is in college in New York City and she contracted Coronavirus.

“Our oldest daughter’s in college. Obviously that’s been shut down, but she’s in New York City. She had COVID really early on along with her roommates and got through it fine,” Matt said. “So I shouldn’t say our whole family’s together. Of our four kids we’ve got the three younger ones and our oldest one, we’ll reunite with her at the end of the month. But everybody’s OK.”

Matt also spoke about the Ireland town he’s living in currently.

“It’s incredible. It’s one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been. Obviously what’s going on in the world is horrible, but for my family, it timed out. I’m with my whole family, I’ve got my kids, and we had teachers with us because we were planning on missing school for about eight weeks, so we’ve got what nobody else has, which is actual live human beings teaching our kids. All their friends, the schools are all shut down back home and the kids are doing remote learning, so we feel guilty. We’ve got this incredible set up in this place, which is gorgeous,” he added.
