Margaret Qualley and Sigourney Weaver stand side-by-side while hitting the red carpet at the opening ceremony premiere of their film My Salinger Year held during the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival at Berlinale Palace on Thursday (February 20) in Berlin, Germany.

The leading ladies were joined at the premiere event by their co-stars Douglas Booth, Xiao Sun, Hamza Haq, Yanic Truesdale, director Philippe Falardeau and writer Joanna Rakoff, as well as Jeremy Irons with wife Sinead Cusack, and Daniel Bruehl and his wife Felicitas Rumbold.

Earlier in the day, Sigourney and her My Salinger Year team also attended a photo call and press conference for the film at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Sigourney Weaver praised the team behind My Salinger Year, calling the film “a big step forward” for women in an entertainment industry still reckoning with the impact of the #MeToo movement.

“Our producers Kim (McCraw) and Luc (Déry) went out of their way to hire women who might not have been heads of department, who carried the load for a long time, made them heads of department, and gave them that chance,” Sigourney said at a press conference (via Variety). “Boy, did they do a hell of a job.”

Margaret Qualley is set to lead a new psychological thriller movie called A Head Full of Ghosts, Deadline reports.

Based on Paul Tremblay’s horror novel, the film centers on Merry, whose older sister exhibited signs of an indeterminate and terrifying affliction, which tore the Barrett family slowly apart.

Now, 20 years later, Merry is confronted with her family’s traumatic past when Rachel, a journalist with a similarly haunted past, delves into the case, causing Merry to relive and reconsider the devastating memories of her childhood.

Scott Cooper is set to direct, and Robert Downey Jr will executive produce.

Sydney Sweeney looks so glamorous while attending the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night (February 9) at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 22-year-old actress was joined at the event by co-stars from her Oscar-nominated movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and the HBO series Euphoria.

The 25-year-old Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress stepped out for the event held on Sunday (February 9) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

She wore a black satin and tulle dress with black and white feathers, styling her hair into a braided updo.

The dress took 348 hours to make!

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is up for a whopping 10 nominations tonight.

This is a big weekend for the 29-year-old actress as she’s up for her second Oscar nomination. Margot is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Bombshell.
