'Riverdale' Cast Shares Luke Perry Tributes Ahead of Season 4 Premiere

The cast of Riverdale is honoring Luke Perry ahead of tonight’s season four premiere.

The episode will pay tribute to the late actor, who sadly passed away in March at age 52 due to a massive stroke.

Luke played Fred Andrews on the CW series, and his co-stars have taken to social media to celebrate his memory.

“Tonight’s episode, and all episodes for the rest of our run, are for Luke,” Lili Reinhart wrote. “We love, honor, and cherish his memory every single day. I only wish he were here to see how many lives he touched with happiness and laughter. I know he’s watching from above. We love you, Luke.” She also shared her favorite photo of Luke, snapped by their co-star Cole Sprouse.

Skeet Ulrich shared a picture of Luke’s favorite hat, which he left at Skeet’s house before he died. “Luke, you left WAY more than a hat! We miss you and keep you in our hearts every single day,” Skeet wrote. “Thank you for all you gave the world, tonight is for you.”

Madelaine Petsch posted a photo of herself and Luke Perry at her first upfronts for the show, explaining, “Luke walked me through the entire experience as he did with most of the new experiences I encountered after booking this show. I didn’t even know this photo existed but it explains our relationship to a T. He was always so generous and supportive and patient with my learning and growing through some of the most formative years of my life. I am so lucky to have known you Luke. You were one of a kind and impacted everyone’s lives in such a meaningful way.”

Camila Mendes added in her Instagram Stories, “I’m finding it hard to express how I’m feeling but I’ll try. We put everything we have into this episode. We wanted to honor Luke’s memory in the most sincere and respectful way possible. This episode is as hard to watch as it was to make it. Actually, making it was harder. But the result is a beautiful tribute to our friend. Luke deserves that and so much more.”

“Tonight Season 4 of Riverdale premieres,” creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared. “With an episode that honors our friend Luke. (I love this picture of him with the boys.) It’s an episode that’s bursting with sadness, but even more so with love. I’m humbled by the outstanding, heroic work everyone did on it. I hope you like it, Luke. As Archie says about his dad, ‘You will always be a part of Riverdale.’ 👨🏻‍💻❤️🏠👨‍👦⭐️💎”

The Riverdale season premiere airs at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Mark Consuelos Reveals Which 'Riverdale' Star Is Most Likely to Let Their Real Life Drama Impact Their Life on Set

Mark Consuelos made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! last night (October 7) and he was asked to dish about his Riverdale co-stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch and Charles Melton.

Mark was asked a bunch of questions and he had to pick which of his young co-stars fit most with the question.

Some questions included who gets the most Instagram DMs, who is most likely to spoil an episode, and more.

One question was which of the co-stars are most likely to bring their real life drama to the set! Well, that was a tough one for Mark, who asked, “Oh, sweetie. Can I pick, like, three people?” he asked.

He ended up saying all three of the women are most likely to bring their drama to the set!

Madelaine Petsch Calls Late Co-Star Luke Perry Her 'Oracle'

Madelaine Petsch shows off her chic Prive Revaux sunglasses in this cute shot from Seventeen‘s new digital issue.

Here’s what the 25-year-old Riverdale actress had to say:

On the death of Luke Perry: “Luke was my oracle throughout Riverdale. He was on 90210 and had done all this work, so anytime I had any questions, he opened his door to me. He was such a kind and loving soul, and he was so generous. He was the kind of actor that gave you everything when he worked with you.”

On her vlog and letting her fans in on who she really is: “I want them to know that I’m weird and funny and I love people. If they still have bad assumptions, then that’s on them, not on me.”

On how her role on Riverdale helped her get some closure on the bullying she experienced when she was younger: “I’ve learned the mindset of the people who bullied me very well because Cheryl’s been a bully on the show. I’ve learned that the people who’ve made the most fun of me as a kid probably had their own sh*t that they were going through. And so they were taking it out on other people. And that breaks my heart.”
