Saoirse Ronan and Greta Gerwig pose together on the red carpet as they arrive at the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday afternoon (January 4) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

Joining the 25-year-old actress and 36-year-old director at the event was fellow Little Women cast members Florence Pugh and Laura Dern. Laura‘s Marriage Story director and Greta‘s partner Noah Baumbach was also in attendance.

Cynthia Erivo, Charlie Hunnam, and Awkwafina walk the red carpet at W Magazine’s Best Performances Party during Golden Globes Weekend on Friday night (January 3) at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, Calif.

The event was held to celebrate the magazine’s Best Performances issue, which will be on newsstands next month.

Cynthia and Awkwafina are both nominated for Golden Globes this weekend for their performances in Harriet and The Farewell, respectively. Charlie was joined at the party by his Jungleland director Max Winkler and his father Henry Winkler.

Also in attendance at the party were Marriage Story actress Laura Dern and director Noah Baumbach, Pain and Glory actor Antonio Banderas and director Pedro Almodovar, The Irishman‘s Anna Paquin, and Dolemite Is My Name‘s Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Keegan-Michael Key with wife Elisa Pugliese.

Here’s what the -year-old Little Women and Marriage Story star shared:

On the labels people use for her: “The outside perception has always been confusing to me. I was Bruce Dern’s daughter, or so and so’s girlfriend, or my kids’ mom, or a sex siren, or the girl next door, or David Lynch’s muse. I just kept allowing labels to be applied to me. People have no idea who I really am. So there is no real label that fits—instead, for me, it’s about art.”

On her Marriage Story character: “I play a divorce lawyer named Nora Fanshaw. She uses fashion to convey power. We knew immediately that she definitely always wore very high Christian Louboutin pumps. And the physicality of always showing my arms and breasts informed the character. Almost all of the time she’s kind of touching herself.”

On if she liked her character: “I did not have to like her. Divorce lawyers represent trauma, and that’s hard to like. But I did empathize with her: She wanted to represent women who’ve always gotten the raw end of the deal.”

Laura Dern had two movies represented at the 2020 AFI Awards on Friday afternoon (January 3) in Los Angeles.

The Oscar-nominated actress joined the stars of her movies Marriage Story and Little Women, which both landed on the list of the Top 10 Movies of the Year.

Joining Laura from Marriage Story were co-star Adam Driver and writer/director Noah Baumbach. Joining her from Little Women were co-star Saoirse Ronan and writer/director Greta Gerwig.

If you didn’t know, Noah and Greta are a longtime real-life couple!

Laura Dern and Adam Driver hit the red carpet at the 2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Thursday night (January 2) in Palm Springs, Calif.

The Marriage Story co-stars are both being honored at the event – Laura with the Career Achievement Award and Adam with the Desert Palm Achievement Award for Best Actor.

They were joined at the event by director Noah Baumbach as well as his longtime partner Greta Gerwig, who directed Laura in Little Women.

Laura Dern is joined by Adam Driver and director Noah Baumbach for a Marriage Story screening during the 2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival on Thursday afternoon (January 2) in Palm Springs, Calif.

The movie has been getting a ton of awards recognition and has several nominations at this weekend’s Golden Globes. The stars are all expected to receive Oscar noms as well.

The day before, Laura was spotted on the beach in Hawaii during a holiday vacation with her family.

Laura posted a photo from the trip on Instagram and wrote, “Quick bliss.”

Did you know that Courteney Cox and Laura Dern have been close friends for over a decade?!

The Friends actress and the Big Little Lies actress went to brunch on Christmas Eve morning with their kids and they shared the sweet photos on Instagram.

“I love this family and our Christmas Eve tradition. Some things never change…much. 🎄♥️🎄 #family,” Courteney wrote on her page.

Laura added, “Christmas Eve morning ritual year 14!!!! Love to all!”

The actresses were joined by Courteney‘s 15-year-old daughter Coco and Laura‘s 18-year-old son Ellery and 15-year-old daughter Jaya.
