The 25-year-old singer/actress was featured in her assistant Theresa Mingus‘ Instagram Story totally jamming out to “This Is Me” from the hit musical.

Keala Settle sings her heart out while performing the Sia song “Bird Set Free” in a new Walmart commercial directed by Melissa McCarthy!
The company commissioned three directors to make a commercial inspired by Walmart’s blue shipping box and they all aired during the Oscars.
In Melissa‘s commercial, Keala plays a woman who finds a box on a subway platform, steps inside of it, and is transported to her childhood when she was too nervous to sing in front of her classmates.
She then whispers into her younger self to give her confidence and she starts belting out the song. The ad then cuts to Keala singing it as an adult!

The entertainer will be hitting the stage during the show to perform the song “This Is Me.”
Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the writers of the song, hit the red carpet looking so handsome. They are nominated for Best Original Song and they won in that same category last year for their work on the movie La La Land.
FYI: Benj is wearing Giorgio Armani. Keala is wearing a Christian Siriano and Laura Basci collaboration with Hueb jewelry.

The star of The Greatest Showman is set to perform her signature song “This Is Me” at the Oscars this weekend and she opened up to W Magazine about the opportunity.
“I think it’s really easy to get wrapped up in the Hollywood part of the Oscars, and for me this week is a reminder of what it actually means to perform at the Oscars and where the story came from in the first place,” Keala said. “First of all, I can’t believe I’m doing it! At all. Totally didn’t think I was going to be, so that was a shocker, a really good shocker.”
“Even if I never do anything again, it’s one of those moments that you never think could happen to you so you don’t even really dream about it or think about it. Then, when it does become a reality, you start to take in the beauty of everything that is happening around it,” she added. “The people that are involved, and how much the composers and the lyricists are grateful to you and how much you are grateful to them for creating such a song because they’re the ones that are nominated for it. I’m just a vehicle that was able to sing it. There’s a lot of gratitude that goes around this week, especially when it comes to Justin [Paul] and Benj [Pasek] and everyone else involved.”
The performers for the 2018 Oscars have been revealed!
The awards show producers made the exciting lineup announcement on Friday (February 23).
Gael García Bernal, Mary J. Blige, Andra Day, Natalia Lafourcade, Miguel, Keala Settle, Sufjan Stevens and Common will perform this year’s nominated songs at the 90th Oscars, hosted by Jimmy
Kimmel.
Gael, Natalia and Miguel will perform “Remember Me” from Coco.
Mary will perform “Mighty River” from Mudbound.
Common and Andra will perform “Stand Up For Something” from Marshall. Keala will perform “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman, and Sufjan will perform “Mystery of Love” from Call Me by Your Name.
The 2018 Oscars will air live on March 4 on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
