Benedict Cumberbatch is supported by wife Sophie at the premiere of his new miniseries Patrick Melrose on Wednesday night (April 25) at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Los Angeles.

The 41-year-old actor looked handsome in a navy suit as he hit the red carpet alongside co-stars Allison Williams and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Here’s a plot summary of the show: in a tour de force role, Benedict plays the titular character who struggles to overcome the damage inflicted by a horribly abusive father and the mother who tacitly condoned his behavior.

Patrick Melrose is set to premiere on Saturday, May 12 on Showtime at 9/8c – and you can check out a trailer here.

Annihilation is getting great reviews ahead of it’s debut at the box office this weekend and fans are going to want to know if they should stay in their seats for anything after the credits.

Well, there’s no extra scenes after the credits begin to roll so feel free to leave!

Currently, the movie has a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac star in the film.

The film has been accused of whitewashing with the casting of Natalie in the lead role and here’s how she responded to the question.

Here’s a plot summary: Lena, a biologist and former soldier, joins a mission to uncover what happened to her husband inside Area X – a sinister and mysterious phenomenon that is expanding across the American coastline. Once inside, the expedition discovers a world of mutated landscape and creatures, as dangerous as it is beautiful, that threatens both their lives and their sanity.

The movie is based on the Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer, and also stars Oscar Isaac, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tessa Thompson, Gina Rodriguez and Tuva Novotny.

The movie’s official poster was released on Friday (January 5).

The film, based on Jeff VanderMeer‘s best-selling Southern Reach Trilogy, also co-stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac. It was written and directed by Alex Garland.

Natalie recently joined social media to support an important cause. In the movie, she plays a biologist who signs up for a dangerous, secret expedition where the laws of nature don’t apply.

The sci-fi flick also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tuva Novotny, Gina Rodriguez, and Tessa Thompson as the members of the scientific team, and Oscar Isaac portrays the husband of Natalie‘s character.

Annihilation is written and directed by Ex Machina‘s Alex Garland and is based off of Jeff VanderMeer‘s 2014 novel of the same name.
