Jennifer Garner Clarifies Her 2016 Quote About Ben Affleck

Jennifer Garner is clarifying something she said about Ben Affleck back in 2016 just a year after their public split.

In a feature with Vanity Fair at that time, “I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding.”

Jennifer and Ben split up in June of 2015. They did not actually file for divorce until 2017. They reached a divorce settlement in 2018.

Now, in 2021, Jennifer gave an interview to THR where she was asked about that wedding quote.

“When our kids get married, we’ll dance, I know that now,” she replied. “We’ll boogaloo and have a great time. I don’t worry about that anymore.”

She also spoke about how her kids tell her they believe people view both Jennifer and Ben.

“People are in awe of him. He’s done incredible things, he’s six-four, he’s … him, and they treat him with a kind of reverence,” Jennifer said. “They say that people treat me like we were just in the middle of a conversation and they want to get back to it. They’ll see me and be like, ‘Oh, I’ve been meaning to tell you … ‘”

If you missed it, Ben wrote his ex wife a public note one year ago and you can read that here.
