Sarah Jessica Parker sparkles in Calvin Klein Collection on the cover of Elle magazine’s November 2012 Women In Hollywood issue!

“I don’t love the idea of playing another woman who loves fashion and is slightly flawed in New York City,” the 47-year-old actress told the mag about doing a similar role to Carrie in Sex and the City. “I loved Carrie, and I don’t want to do the poor man’s version of her. And while those are often the lucrative things to do, it’s more reason to look in the other direction.”

SJP is one of a number of honorees this year, who will be highlighted at Elle‘s Women in Hollywood event on October 15! Cate Blanchett, Elle Fanning, Shirley MacLaine, Susan Sarandon, Octavia Spencer, Uma Thurman, Emma Watson and Kristen Wiig are among the other ladies being honored.

Sarah Jessica Parker flashes a smile while taking her adorable twin daughters Marion and Tabitha on a morning stroll on Wednesday (September 12) in New York City.

The day before, the 47-year-old actress was spotted with her twins and son James in the West Village.

Earlier this week, SJP donned a red blazer while leaving her West Village townhouse.

SJP recently talked about her popular show Sex and the City to THR.

“The fashion was exciting. But what was unique and special was that the language was so new — and I don’t mean the salty, ribald, provocative stuff. A woman like Carrie was unlikable to many people in terms of how she spent her time, how she spent her money, her personal choices about children and marriage and affairs. But there was a human-ness to her that people connected to.”

Sarah Jessica Parker steps out at the opening of the new Broadway show Nice Work If You Can Get It at the Imperial Theatre on Tuesday (April 24) in New York City.

The 47-year-old actress brought along her son James to support her husband Matthew Broderick at the opening of his show.

Sarah Jessica Parker walks hand in hand with her son James as they leave their apartment to go to school on Friday (January 20) in New York City.

The CW has ordered a pilot for The Carrie Diaries, a prequel to the long-running series Sex and the City. The series will follow Sarah‘s character Carrie Bradshaw coming of age in the 1980s, “asking her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family, while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan.”

A new version of Beauty and the Beast has also been ordered by The CW, according to EW.

Sarah Jessica Parker attends the premiere of her husband Matthew Broderick‘s new film, Tower Heist, held at the Ziegfeld Theatre on Monday (October 24) in New York City.

The 46-year-old actress and Matthew, 49, made it a family affair and attended the event with their 8-year-old son James.

Sarah hit the red carpet wearing a Narciso Rodriguez dress, Valentino coat, Manolo Blahnik shoes, a Pierre Hardy bag, and Fred Leighton jewels.

Also pictured at the premiere: Tower Heist director Brett Ratner, Gabourey Sidibe, Ben Stiller and wife Christine Taylor, Tea Leoni, and Eddie Murphy.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were at the after-party held at the The Museum of Modern Art. They were there to support two of the film’s writers, Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, both of whom wrote the Olsens‘ 2004 comedy New York Minute.

Boardwalk Empire‘s Paz de la Huerta was also seen mingling with Catfish filmmaker Yaniv Schulman (Brett Ratner executive produced Catfish).

The Olsens later hit up the after-after-party at Stone Rose Lounge, where they mingled with Saturday Night Live regular Jason Sudeikis.

Sarah Jessica Parker hits the red carpet at the Stephan Weiss Apple Awards on Thursday (June 9) at The Urban Zen Center in New York City.

The 46-year-old actress paired her L’Wren Scott dress with her own vintage bag, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Itay Malkin earrings.

SJP was just one of the handful of celebs who braved the rain to come out for the Veuve Clicquot-sponsored event.

“This one in particular was very cinematic,” Sarah said about the downpour. “Like a Louis B. Mayer movie, it was fantastic.”
