Garrett Clayton looks so handsome on the cover of Gay Times Magazine‘s latest issue, available October 31st.

Here’s what the 27-year-old actor had to share with the mag:

On his decision to come out publicly: “The decision to come out was finally feeling comfortable as me. I just felt like, ‘OK, I’m finally ready to do this’, and I think that’s the most important thing to take away from this is that everyone has to do it when they feel comfortable. If you let someone push you into something like this it can be harmful if you’re not ready. That’s something I experienced personally during King Cobra, where it felt like a lot of journalists wanted me to come out, but I wasn’t ready.”

On his dad’s reaction to him coming out: ““Before my dad moved to Florida I kind of had a meltdown and told him, and he just hated it. A month or two after that, when I was leaving my last day on the set of my first movie – which was a huge step for me, I was so excited – he freaked out because I was late. I came out to the car and he just started screaming at me, and it boiled up to him screaming at me about how he hated that I was gay, and he didn’t know what to do with me. It was this horrible gut-wrenching fight right after one of my first big accomplishments.”

On his brother’s reaction to him coming out: “My brother reacted badly when I told him…I don’t want to put him on blast, because he’s still my family, but I do feel that honesty in this situation is important. A few years ago, when same-sex marriage was legalised, my brother was furious, and he went online posting about how the American flag was gonna be a rainbow soon, like, ‘What’s happening to America?’ And I remember seeing that and thinking, ‘You have a gay brother, you idiot!’ So I went on his Facebook like, ‘So wait a minute, you’re telling me that there can be someone you care about in your life, who wants to impede nothing on yours, and just wants the same rights as you, and you would take that away from them?’ And then he blocked me. If my brother wants to reconnect with me, I welcome it wholeheartedly. I’m a big believer in people learning from their mistakes. But not every story gets a happy ending.”

Garrett Clayton is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 1993 flick Hocus Pocus by putting his own spin on the classic song “I Put a Spell on You!”

The 27-year-old Hairspray Live! actor shows off his performance and vocal talents alongside Ashley Argota and Desi Dennis-Dylan in the Ben Giroux-directed music video.

“I Put a Spell on You” was originally recorded by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, and Bette Midler covered the track in Hocus Pocus in an iconic song and dance sequence.

Earlier this month, Garrett – who came out as gay with a powerful Instagram post back in August – also performed “I Put a Spell on You” during Disneyland Gay Days.

Garrett Clayton is starring in the new movie Reach and we have an exclusive clip to debut from the film.

The 27-year-old actor plays socially awkward band geek, Steven Turano, who is planning on killing himself. However, when Clarence (Johnny James Fiore), the new quirky kid in school, befriends him, Steven’s plans are sidetracked and he forms stronger relationships with his father, friends and teachers.

In this clip, we experience one of these aforementioned bullying experiences at the hands of Nick (Jordan Doww) and the introduction of Clarence.

The movie will be hitting theaters and on demand on October 19. The movie is incredibly timely as it is currently National Bullying Prevention Month.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus flashes a smile on the red carpet while attending the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s 2018 Les Girls Cabaret at the Avalon Hollywood on Sunday (October 7) in Los Angeles.

The 57-year-old Veep star was joined by Bethany Joy Lenz, Sharon Lawrence, Brad Goreski, Chris Mann, Garrett Clayton, Kate Flannery and Lea Thompson at the annual cabaret benefiting the National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund.

Julia hit the stage at the event to present the Les Girls Cabaret award to Armando Giuliano, M.D.

Julia completed the last day of chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer in January.

Garrett Clayton and boyfriend Blake Knight just made their red carpet debut!

The super cute couple stepped out for OUT Magazine’s Power 50 Award & Celebration presented by Genesis at NeueHouse Los Angeles on Thursday night (September 27) in Hollywood.

“👯‍♂️@outmagazine #Power50 last night with my love @hrhblakeknight. 👬,” Garrett wrote on his Instagram.

The couple were also joined at the event by Kevin McHale, Breeda Wool, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Thomas Dekker.

Other attendees included songwriter Justin Tranter, who received the Power of Authenticity award and Tyler Oakley, who was given Power of Originality!

Garrett Clayton has come out as gay in a new post on his Instagram account.

The 27-year-old actor, who is also known for his work in Teen Beach Movie, wrote about his new film Reach, and in the post, revealed that he has a partner named Blake Knight.

Garrett wrote, “With the release of my new movie REACH coming up, I thought it was important to explain why I took on this project in the first place. REACH deals with some very serious and timely topics that have affected me personally, and have likely influenced many of your lives as well. (I also prefer to share things that are particularly important for me here on my IG) instead of in some random magazine or online article – because you are the ones that have been rooting for me and following me on my professional and personal journey in life.”

Garrett continued, “When I read the script for REACH, I immediately knew it was a film I had to be a part of. I have personally dealt with suicide within my own family, intense bullying in high school, and – on top of it all – myself and the man I’ve been in a relationship with for a long time (@hrhblakeknight) have both experienced shootings within our hometown school systems, and have witnessed the heartache that takes place in affected communities after such tragic events. These topics – not always easy to discuss- are all close to my heart, and, knowing how serious they are, I wanted to share this with you all. This film has come from the perspectives of people who care deeply about these issues, and if watching it helps even one person… then it was all worth it.”
