The new short film Mr. Malcolm’s List, starring Gemma Chan, has been released online!

The film was directed by Emma Holly Jones and its about a young lady (Chan) in early 1800′s England who engages in courtship with a mysterious wealthy suitor, Mr. Malcolm (Sope Dirisu), unaware of his unattainable list of demands for his future wife.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Freida Pinto also star in the short film, which was released by Refinery29.

Mr. Malcolm’s List is part of the Shatterbox Anthology series, which is dedicated to giving female directors a chance to claim their power in Hollywood.

The 34-year-old actress was joined by director Emma Holly Jones, and producers Laura Lewis and Laura Lister, for the screening hosted by Refinery29, Untitled Entertainment, and Rebelle Media.

Set in early 1800s England, the short film is about a young lady (Gemma Chan) who engages in courtship with a mysterious wealthy suitor, Mr. Malcolm (Sope Dirisu), unaware of his unattainable list of demands for his future wife. Freida and Oliver Jackson-Cohen also star in the short film, which debuts on February 14 on Refinery29.

The 34-year-old Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle actress stepped out for the event held at Curzon Bloomsbury on Wednesday (January 23) in London, England.

She was joined by her co-stars Mrunal Thakur and Richa Chadha as well as director, writer, and producer Tabrez Noorani.

Freida paired her dress with a matching clutch, green shoes, a long green coat, and an assortment of jewelry.

Inspired by real life events, Love Sonia is the story of a young girl’s journey to rescue her sister from the dangerous world of international sex trafficking.

Christian Bale and Freida Pinto are celebrating their new movie!

The co-stars were in attendance at the Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle premiere on Sunday (November 25) in Mumbai, India.

This was also India’s first-ever world premiere for a major Hollywood release!

Director and actor Andy Serkis also walked the red carpet, as well as castmates Rohan Chand and Louis Ashbourne Serkis.

Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who bring the characters to life in Hindi, also joined their international castmates at the premiere.

Screenings will also take place in London and Los Angeles before launching globally on Netflix on December 7.

The upcoming Netflix film will be released in an exclusive limited theatrical engagement beginning on November 29, and launching globally on the streaming service on December 7.

In the movie, Mowgli (Rohan Chand) has never truly belonged in either the wilds of the jungle or the civilized world of man. Now he must navigate the inherent dangers of each on a journey to discover where he truly belongs.

Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Benedict Cumberbatch, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, Matthew Rhys and Naomie Harris star in the movie.

Freida Pinto is gorgeous in a saree while hitting the red carpet at the opening night screening premiere of her film Love Sonia held during the 2018 Asian World Film Festival at ArcLight Culver City on Wednesday (October 24) in Culver City, Calif.

The 34-year-old actress was also honored with the Courage to Dream Award at the festival opening.

Love Sonia is the harrowing account of two sisters robbed of their innocence when one is sold by her debt-ridden father, and the other (Freida) follows after her in the hope of rescuing her but becomes trapped in the flesh trade herself.

The Today anchors also celebrated with their children, with plenty of dancing and singing all over the stage.

The concert was to honor International Day of the Girl, founded in 2012 by the United Nations, to raise awareness of the needs and important issues girls face across the globe due to gender inequity, including equal access to education, work training, legal standing, medical care and much more.
