Check out Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel as parents in the first full cast photo from Girl Meets World!

The show brings back the two Boy Meets World stars and puts them in the role of parents to Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Auggie (August Maturo).

“Girl Meets World is a new show for a new generation that will be rooted in the same kind of honest, comedic storytelling about coming of age and the importance of family and friendship that made Boy Meets World so popular,” creator Michael Jacobs shared.

The series, premiering later this summer, is set in New York City and follows 7th grader Riley and her best friend Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) as they navigate through middle school.

Their plans for a carefree year will be adjusted under the watch of Riley’s parents, Cory, who works as a history teacher at the school, and Topanga, who owns an afterschool hangout known for its pudding.

Also in the cast photo: Peyton Meyer as Lucas Friar and Corey Fogelmanis as Farkle.

Danielle Fishel has tied the knot with her longtime love Tim Belusko!

The 32-year-old Boy Meets World actress got married on Saturday (October 19) at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles, according to Us Weekly.

Danielle was joined at the event by her on-screen husband Ben Savage and she wore a strapless dress with her hair down in waves for the special day.

“Midnight blue is my main color,” Danielle recently said of her wedding. Bridesmaids wore the color and it tied into the theme of the night. “I think it’s perfect for a this-time-of-year wedding. Kind of big, like 250 people. It’s going to be really fun! I’m really excited about it.”

Here is some amazing news to make your Monday morning a little better – Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel‘s new series Girl Meets World has officially been greenlit by the Disney Channel!

The actors reprise their roles of Cory and Topanga from the beloved series Boy Meets World and the new show revolves around their tween daughter Riley, played by Rowan Blanchard.

The pilot episode also features Sabrina Carpenter as Riley’s best friend and William Daniels making a return as Mr. Feeny.

“I am grateful to everyone at Disney Channel for the opportunity to reach my favorite audience, which has always been kids,” executive producer Michael Jacobs said (via THR). “Girl Meets World is a new show for a new generation that will be rooted in the same kind of honest, comedic storytelling about coming of age and the importance of family and friendship that made Boy Meets World so popular.”

Here’s what the 31-year-old former Boy Meets World star and upcoming Girl Meets World actress had to share with the mag:

On where the name Topanga came from: “Michael Jacobs, who created Boy Meets World, says he was driving down the highway when production called and said, “We need a name for this character!” He happened to be driving past Topanga Canyon, so he said, “Topanga.” He says that if they had called him two miles later, I would’ve been named Canoga, which is the next exit.”

On if her and Ben Savage ever dated: “No! That rumor was entirely my fault because I once said, on The Tyra Banks Show, that Ben and I went on a date, and that turned into ‘Danielle and Ben dated.’ We went on one date, when I was about 15, and by the time the dinner was over we realized mutually that we were more like family than lovers.”

On something people don’t know about her: “I’m huge into 90′s rap. It’s my jam. My all-time favorite album is Snoop Dogg‘s Doggystyle. And if you really want to see me embarrass myself, put on some Notorious B.I.G. and watch me grab my crotch and mouth all the words. It’s really embarrassing, but I can’t help myself.”

Danielle Fishel has been hitting the books and she has finally graduated college!

The 31-year-old actress told her fans the exciting news on her Tumblr.

“I am officially a college graduate! I took my last two undergraduate finals today and I am so happy, relieved, and proud. Yeah, I’m super proud of myself. :),” Danielle shared.

Danielle added, “After my 27th birthday, I made the decision to stop letting fear be a factor in fulfilling my dreams and living the life I wanted, so with a little encouragement from friends and family, I enrolled. And I went. I went every day and took copious notes and studied my little old lady heart out. Yes, I was sometimes the oldest person in class, I was whispered about many times, and I did forget how to do a few math equations. But I persevered and sometimes I wasn’t the oldest person in class, some of the whisperers became good friends, and I did so well in math, I even became a tutor. And that is how I met my fiancé. :).”

Congrats Danielle!
