Imagine Dragons' Dan Reynolds Launches Monster Pain in the AS Campaign!

Imagine DragonsDan Reynolds keeps it cool and casual as he attends a photo call and press conference for his new Monster Pain in the AS campaign on Wednesday (April 3) at the Jue Lan Club in New York City.

The Grammy-Award winning lead vocalist has teamed up with the Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation for the new campaign to help people suffering from unexplained back pain that may be AS (ankylosing spondylitis).

“I want people to get started on this process and go to website, where they can take a three-minute quiz to see if they have AS and hopefully get started on the process that took me years to figure out,” Dan expressed (via People). “My diagnosis has been life-changing in every possible way just because I saw a rheumatologist. That’s why those three minutes of taking the quiz are so important.”

“It’s really important is to talk about our insecurities and our pain, the things that are hard,” Dan continued. “It helps other people feel less alone. Everyone is struggling with something. I’ve had a lot of people reach out and say that they’ve been struggling with AS for years and finally got diagnosed. It hasn’t defeated me and I’ve been able to meet a lot of people and make strong bonds.”

Dan Reynolds Responds to Imagine Dragons Haters - Read His Message

Dan Reynolds is opening up about the mean things people have said about his band, Imagine Dragons.

The 31-year-old frontman got candid in a series of notes on his Instagram on Wednesday evening (February 27).

PHOTOS: Check out the latest pics of Dan Reynolds

“For a decade now I’ve dealt with critics and other bands saying extremely harsh things about my band. Not what I would call ‘fair criticism’ (which I always try my best to receive and learn from) but actual click-bait horse s–t. Words filled with vile and hate meant to feed humanities need to laugh at each other’s imperfections and fails,” he wrote.

“I’ve stood silently and taken it for years. It has added to the depression I’ve dealt with since youth. I don’t say this in search of sympathy, but just as a fact. It’s not the person that causes me the feelings of stress and depression, but what it does to the world we as a band have created.”

“I’ve gotten over the fact that guys in other bands (The 1975, Foster The People, Smashing Pumpkins, Slipknot etc.) feel a need to talk badly about my band for whatever reason. I don’t feel anger towards them actually, just more of a sadness that this industry embraces, even celebrates this mentality.”

“My band mates are some of my best friends. We are authentically ourselves and strive to bring positivity and empowerment to the world. We’ll continue to do just that.”
