CDC Announces Fully Vaccinated Americans Can Largely Return to Life Without Masks

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made a huge announcement on Thursday (May 13).

The CDC revealed that there is a big change regarding those individuals in the United States who are fully vaccinated.

According to the new announcement, the CDC will no longer recommend masks for fully-vaccinated Americans indoors or outdoors, including in crowds, via ABC News.

Broadway Shows in New York City Have an Official Re-Opening Date!

Vaccines are rolling out across the nation and world and now, Broadway has set its sights on a Fall 2021 reopening date.

“Broadway shows will be ready to open September 14 at 100% capacity. Tickets go on sale starting tomorrow,” New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Twitter. “Broadway is major part of our state’s identity and economy, and we are thrilled that the curtains will rise again.”

Broadway shows have been dark since March 12, 2020, when the Governor shut down all major gatherings in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. The pandemic raged on throughout 2020 as the world awaited vaccines. At the time of the Broadway shut down, there were 31 productions running with 8 new shows in previews and 8 in rehearsals.

The CDC Makes a Big Announcement About Wearing Masks Amid Pandemic in United States

The CDC is providing a big update to protocol amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organization announced on Tuesday (April 27) that they have a new advisory about wearing masks outdoors amid the distribution of the coronavirus vaccines in the United States.

Now, people who are fully vaccinated are free to not wear a mask outdoors, unless they’re in a big crowd.

Burning Man 2021 Cancelled Amid Pandemic

Burning Man is not returning this year.

The 2021 festival has been cancelled due to the pandemic, Billboard reported Tuesday (April 27).

Burning Man now plans to return in 2022, shelving the original 2021 festival that would have run from August 26 to September 3 in Black Rock City, Nevada.

Japan Declares State of Emergency Due to Virus 3 Months Before Olympics

Japan is calling for strict restrictions just ahead of the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga declared a new state of emergency on Friday (April 23), which extends from Sunday (April 25) to May 11 in Tokyo, Osaka and two other prefectures in an effort to control the spread of coronavirus, Bloomberg reported.

“If we don’t act, there is a concern that the virus surge we are seeing in big cities could spread nationwide,” he told reporters.

Six Celebrities Are Refusing to Get the COVID-19 Vaccine (So Far)

So far, so many celebrities who are currently eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine have chosen to do so to help the pandemic come to an end and keep everyone safe against the deadly virus.

However, at the time of this posting, six celebrities have revealed they have no intention of getting the vaccine at this time. Their choice is their own, and some provided reasoning as to why.
