Billy Porter is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming Cinderella movie from Sony Pictures!

The film will star Camila Cabello as the title character and she will be providing new music for the film.

Pitch Perfect screenwriter and Blockers director Kay Cannon is set to direct the movie, which is based on any idea from James Corden.

Billy is in talks to play the fairy godmother role in the movie, according to THR. He is best known for his Emmy-winning work on FX’s Pose and his Tony-winning work in Broadway’s Kinky Boots.

The 25-year-old actress and 28-year-old actor joined their co-stars Holliday Grainger and Helena Bonham-Carter along with costume designer Sandy Powell, and director Kenneth Branagh for the early morning event.

Afterwards, Lily headed to the Glamour UK offices for a fun Twitter chat where she dished on her favorite scene to film.

“First meeting with the prince on the horse – it felt electric,” Lily confessed to a fan who asked.

Disney’s Cinderella debuted to a whopping $70.1 million domestically, taking the No. 1 spot at the box office!

According to THR, the live action fairytale, starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett, and Richard Madden, grossed $132.1 million worldwide.

Coming in at No. 2 was Liam Neeson‘s new action flick Run All Night, which opened to a cool $11 million.

Taking the third spot was Kingsman: The Secret Service, starring Colin Firth and Taron Egerton, which grossed an additional $6.2 million for a North American total of $107.4 million.

Rounding out the top five were Will Smith and Margot Robbie‘s Focus and Hugh Jackman‘s Chappie, which tied with $5.8 million.

Meanwhile, Fifty Shades of Grey only brought in an addition $2.9 million, placing at No. 11 for the weekend.

Speaking recently with ELLE magazine, Richard opened up about his Prince in the upcoming flick.

“I tried to take all the stigma away from Prince Charming and just go into the story,” he shared. “Which is about two young people with a lot on their plates.”

Lily‘s agent has denied that the trailer for the film digitally altered her waist to appear smaller after critics started pointing it out.

“Lily‘s waist hasn’t been altered (in the film or in any stills/marketing materials) – she’s wearing a corset,” a Disney source told BuzzFeed.
