Christie had to withdraw from the new season of DWTS earlier this week following an injury and she was seen wearing a cast on her arm at the event. She was honored with the Outstanding Achievement in Health award.

Katharine announced earlier in the week that she is going on tour with husband David Foster next year and the tickets are on sale NOW!

Christie Brinkley is sharing her thoughts on Wendy Williams during an interview on The Talk, which aired on Thursday (September 19).

Wendy previously accused Christie of faking her Dancing With the Stars injury and coming up with a plot for her daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook to take her place on the show.

“Wendy Williams started this rumor, which was stunning to me because, you know, I’ve been on Wendy‘s show a couple of times, and for some reason she liked me, and she would call on me to support her in tough times. So, I got a call one day that she was having a terrible bout of stage fright, and she was about to drop out of Chicago The Musical,” Christie said during the interview about the time she helped her through stage fright.

Christie also recalled when she talked with Wendy for advice on divorce.

“I get a call again, because let’s face it, I’m kind of an expert with that… I was like, ‘I’m going to help you’… so I thought it was a mistake when someone said she was doing this,” she said.

Christie added, “I didn’t just break them, because of the angle I hit, they shattered… my surgery, that was supposed to take an hour and a half, ended up taking 3 hours, and they ended up putting in a plate. My message to Wendy is, it’s so much more fun to be kind. Try it. It can’t feel good to try to hurt other people. If it feels good, something’s seriously wrong.”

Sailor Brinkley-Cook gave an impressive performance with only three days practice during the Dancing With The Stars premiere!

The 21-year-old model and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy hit the dance floor on Monday night (September 16) in Los Angeles.

Sailor, who took over for her mom Christie after a serious injury, joined Val for a foxtrot to Billy Joel‘s “Uptown Girl.”

After hearing the judge’s feedback, they picked up 18 out of 30 points.

Christie Brinkley won’t be competing on Dancing With the Stars this season after breaking her arm during rehearsals, but she’s still at the premiere!

The 65-year-old model was spotted arriving at the studio while wearing a cast on her arm on Monday afternoon (September 16) in Los Angeles.

Christie‘s daughter, model Sailor Brinkley-Cook, is now competing in her place and she only had a few days notice to prepare for premiere night.

Wendy Williams accused the show and Christie of concocting a plot to have Sailor fill in for her on the show and the legendary model responded.

Wendy Williams thinks Christie Brinkley faked her Dancing with the Stars injury as a ploy to get her daughter Sailor on the show.

If you don’t know, ABC confirmed today that Christie got injured and had to exit the show but her 21-year-old daughter would be taking her place.

On her show, Wendy said the injury seemed “fake as hell” before adding, “Let me tell you what I see. I don’t see a wrist and a shoulder being fractured. But that was real cute. Here’s my thought: Dancing with the Stars called Christie Brinkley … and she said yes. After she got off the phone, that’s when she plotted her schedule…In my opinion, I think what Christie did was she signed up for Dancing with the Stars knowing that she’d put her daughter Sailor in there.”

Christie gave People are very tearful and emotional statement, saying, “I’m totally shocked, because I have been there for Wendy Williams. That is so weird,” she said, and the magazine notes that Christie burst into tears at this point. “I have to give her a call … I’m really stunned.”

Christie Brinkley has had to step away from this season of Dancing with the Stars after suffering an injury during rehearsal.

Her replacement for the season, which kicks off tonight, is her daughter, model Sailor Brinkley-Cook.

“While rehearsing for the premiere of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ Christie Brinkley suffered injuries which required surgery to her wrist and arm. She is unable to continue her planned participation on the show. Keeping it all in the family, her daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook, a Sports Illustrated model, has chosen to quickly step in with hours to learn the entire routine and will compete in her mother’s place for the remainder of the season. We wish Christie a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her in the audience, whenever possible, proudly supporting Sailor,” ABC told Just Jared in a statement.

Dancing with the Stars premieres tonight on ABC at 8pm ET. We’re wishing Christie Brinkley well and hope she makes a quick recovery!
