Chris Pine Opens Up About Rumored 'Star Trek 4' Plans With Quentin Tarantino

Chris Pine has heard just about nothing about plans for Star Trek 4.

Speaking to Comicbook.com, the 39-year-old actor dished about the prospect of a fourth movie in the franchise, and also chatted about Quentin Tarantino‘s involvement.

“You know, I haven’t (read a script),” he shared. “In terms of the Star Trek of it all, I really wish I knew anything. I’m quite literally one of the last people ever to find out.”

Chris continued, “So, I haven’t read that script, I don’t know where it is in development, I haven’t read the Noah Hawley script, I have no idea what’s happening in Star Trek land.”

However, he is excited about Tarantino‘s possible involvement in it.

“I love the character, I love the universe, I love my friends in it, you know, to have a Quentin take on it would be tremendously interesting and entertaining,” Chris added. “You know, look, whatever happens, if I come back or not, it’s a great universe, it deserves to have a future, and I hope that is the case.”

Earlier this month, another screenwriter who has been working with Tarantino on the R-rated script teased what it was like.

Talk Show Host Graham Norton Accidentally Reveals Major 'Wonder Woman 1984' Spoiler

A talk show host accidentally let a “major, major spoiler” slip about Wonder Woman 1984 ahead of the movie’s debut on Christmas Day on HBO Max.

It all went down while Gal Gadot was making an appearance on The Graham Norton Show promoting the movie.

Graham Norton said, “‘Wonder Woman’ fans rejoice because in this outing we get to see the invisible plane. Well we didn’t see it obviously, it’s invisible. But the invisible plane is in it.”

Gal quickly retorted, “I don’t know what you’re talking about Graham… You just gave away a major, major spoiler.”

Graham then said, “We might cut that out,” but obviously, the show did not edit this moment!

There were rumors that Wonder Woman’s invisible airplane were briefly seen in the trailer, but this is the first time we’ve gotten official confirmation of the storyline.

In Wonder Woman lore, her invisible plane is her main form of transportation across longer distances.

Chris Pine Might Become Dungeon Master As He Signs On To Star In 'Dungeons & Dragons' Movie

Chris Pine will be playing a real life Dungeons & Dragons on the big screen.

The 40-year-old actor has been cast in the movie adaption of the popular role playing game, which will be written and directed by duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, THR reports.

No big plot details have been released for the film just yet, but the game, which has many celeb fans is known for its wargames, treasure hunts, campaigns, camaraderie, and reversals of fortune, and takes place in a setting that combines humans, elves, orcs, and wizards.

The game famously uses multi-sided dice in gameplay and is overseen by a host known as the Dungeon Master.

It’s not known if Chris himself plays the game, but Stephen Colbert, Vin Diesel, Matthew Lillard, Joe Manganiello, Mike Myers, Patton Oswalt, Wil Wheaton, and Drew Barrymore are among fans of the game.

The Dungeons and Dragons movie adaption has had many iterations, with Jeremy Irons and Ansel Elgort once in talks to star.

Just recently, more details about the R-rated Star Trek movie from Quentin Tarantino, based on Chris‘s Captain Kirk, were revealed.

'Star Trek' Screenwriter Teases 'Fun' R-Rated Script With Quentin Tarantino & Chris Pine

Quentin Tarantino‘s co-screenwriter Mark L. Smith has opened up a bit about the R-rated Star Trek movie that has been in the works with Chris Pine.

The 56-year-old director has previously shared his plans for a Star Trek movie, and revealed as of December 2019, that he was thinking about walking away from it.

“I might be steering away from it, but we’ll see,” Quentin had said. “I haven’t completely decided, or talked to anyone involved. Nothing is official.”

However, Mark shared with SFX magazine that it might not be the case at all.

“I wrote a Star Trek with Tarantino, and that was a sci-fi script on which I could have fun and lean into some bigger, broader things,” Mark shared with the magazine.

He added that “Kirk is always just so fun. Tarantino and I had so much fun with him, because Kirk is just William Shatner, y’know? It’s like: you’re not sure who is who, so you can kinda lean into that. Because you watch Chris Pine and he’s playing Kirk, but he’s also playing William Shatner a touch.”

Previously, Quentin opened up about his want to venture into the fantasy franchise, after he had watched J.J. Abrams‘ 2009 film.

“I thought Chris Pine did a fantastic job not just playing Capt. Kirk but playing William Shatner’s captain — he is William Shatner. He’s not just another guy, he’s William Shatner’s Capt. Kirk,” Quentin shared during a podcast. “And Zachary Quinto is literally Leonard Nimoy’s — because they both have the same scene together — he’s his Spock. They f***ing nail it. They just nail it.”

Earlier this year, a fun Easter Egg was revealed in Quentin‘s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where he showed off his love for Chris.

Gal Gadot Pushes Two Cars Apart With Just Her Legs in New 'Wonder Woman 1984' Clip

Gal Gadot uses all her leg strength to help push away two cars from a collision in this brand new teaser for Wonder Woman 1984.

The clip debuted during tonight’s 2020 MTV Movie & TV Awards, which teased several upcoming features.

In the upcoming movie, Wonder Woman finds herself facing off against two new foes: Max Lord and The Cheetah, which is played by Kristen Wiig.

The movie also sees the return of Chris Pine‘s Steve Trevor, who supposedly perished in the final moments of the first movie by flying with a bomb on board his plane.

“I can’t tell you [how he’s back], but here’s what I will say: We didn’t put Steve Trevor in this movie because we just wanted to put Steve Trevor in this movie,” director Patty Jenkins revealed of his return.

She added, “When we thought of the story for this film while we were making the first film, a eureka moment came and it couldn’t have been told without Chris Pine playing Steve Trevor. So I promise you it’s not a gimmick, it’s integral to the story, it was incredibly important that we had him and we just super enjoyed it.”

Wonder Woman 1984 will debut in theaters and on HBO Max on Christmas Day, December 25.

Harry Styles, Chris Pine & More 'Don't Worry Darling' Stars In Isolation After Positive COVID Test on Set

Filming on Olivia Wilde‘s Don’t Worry Darling has been halted, after a crew member tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus.

According to Deadline, the film’s stars including Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Florence Pugh and more have been quarantined after being exposed and the set was shut down and will remain so for 14 days.

The site says that the person who tested positive was not a member of the principal cast, but was someone who “was in close enough proximity to them that the shut down was deemed necessary to find out if anyone else on the production has been exposed.”

Don’t Worry Darling, as well as many other movies, have been following strict protocols during the pandemic. Regular testing is done on the set.

As soon as the quarantine period is over, the film is expected to resume shooting in Los Angeles.

Earlier this week, Chris, Harry and Olivia, who will also have a small role in the movie, were pictured filming.
