Alicia Keys is gorgeous in purple while hitting the carpet at the 2019 Billboard Women In Music ceremony presented by YouTube Music on Thursday night (December 12) in Los Angeles.

The 38-year-old Grammy-winning singer was joined at the event by Brandi Carlile, Hayley Kiyoko, Alanis Morissette and Maggie Rogers.

Alicia was honored with the American Express Impact Award, Brandi with the Trailblazer Award and Alanis the Icon Award.

“This is not women against men, and that’s represented in this room. You can see the equal share,” Alicia expressed during her speech (via Billboard). “We’re inspired by women who break down these barriers.”

“This is about more than just myself, this is about all of us,” Alicia continued. “I want to be able to be myself, and that’s what I recognize about all these artists. It’s the ability to be an individual, set your own path and blaze forward … we are so incredibly unlimited.”

Miranda Lambert, Pink, and Sheryl Crow team up at the 2019 CMA Awards!

The singers, ages 36, 40, and 57, respectively, stepped out for the event held at the Music City Center on Wednesday (November 13) in Nashville, Tenn.

Miranda hit the red carpet with her husband Brendan Mcloughlin, and Pink with her husband Carey Hart and their kids Jameson and Willow.

Miranda is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, and she’ll perform “It All Comes Out in the Wash.” Pink and Sheryl will also perform.

They were joined by nominees Little Big Town and Thomas Rhett (with his family); performer Martina McBride; and presenters Kristin Chenoweth (with her musician boyfriend Josh Bryant), Jim Gaffigan, and Hannah Brown.

Also in attendance were singers RaeLynn, Colbie Caillat, Brandi Carlile, Backstreet Boys‘ AJ McLean, and more.

Brandi Carlile will no longer be performing at Fortune magazine’s Most Powerful Women Summit.

The 38-year-old singer-songwriter explained her decision not to perform stems from their inclusion of former Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen in the event.

Brandi took to her Twitter to explain that she was honored to be invited but Kirstjen‘s handling of U.S. border policy under Donald Trump was an “atrocity” and she could not reconcile appearing at the same event.

“I don’t think that human rights violators and merit-based abusers of displaced people should be given a platform to ‘reimagine’ history. The atrocity of family separation at our Southern border needs to go down in history as one of the United States of America’s most merciless acts,” Brandi wrote.

The Highwomen are making their Ellen Show debut!

The all-female country music group consisting of Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby stopped by the talk show to chat about the importance of their group.

Amanda shared that she came up with the idea of the group because she wanted her daughter to see more women represented in country music.

The ladies then explained that want to hear more female artists on the radio after Maren revealed she doesn’t receive as much radio play as her male counterparts.

The Highwomen then performed their hit new song “Redesigning Women” on the show!

Sheryl Crow, Trisha Yearwood, and Brandi Carlile keep it country at the 2019 CMT Music Awards!

The singers stepped out for the event held on Wednesday (June 5) at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

They were joined by fellow musical artists Lindsay Ell, Jenny Tolman, and Carly Pearce.

Sheryl took the stage for a performance with Maren Morris, and Brandi performed with Tanya Tucker.

Trisha presented an award to Carrie Underwood.

Additionally, Brandi received nominations for Female Video of the Year for “The Joke” as well as CMT Performance of the Year for “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman (From 2018 CMT Artists of the Year)” with Maren.

Brandi Carlile walks the red carpet with wife Catherine Shepherd at the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night (April 7) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The 37-year-old Grammy-winning singer is set to perform during the event this evening!

Brandi originally wanted to be a country singer before she found a niche in the American Roots world. She says she abandoned her dreams because of her sexuality.

“I always wanted to be a famous singer,” she told The Tennessean. “I didn’t think they would accept me.”

The Grammy-winner interviewed the 36-year-old actress about her role as an spunky punk rocker struggling with sobriety in the upcoming film Her Smell.

“I didn’t want Her Smell to be some sort of perfect story of, ‘Oh, she gets sober and everything’s fine now,’” Elisabeth expressed. “I just wanted to make sure (my acting) captured that anxiety and the instability of just trying to hold on.”

“The rock ‘n’ roll moment of a song is only once,” Brandi added about Elisabeth‘s role. “You took your rock ‘n’ roll moment at the end of this movie, and that’s why you feel this way.”
