Blue Ivy Carter is teaching us a thing or two.

The 8-year-old daughter of Beyonce and Jay-Z shared an adorable home video demonstrating how hand-washing is effective against dirt and germs on Saturday (April 18) on grandmother Tina Knowles-Lawson‘s Instagram.

The video experiment shows how soap is an effective way of preventing against the spread of the disease amid the global health crisis.

“I have this little DIY experiment that you can do at home, too,” she said.

“I have a mixture of a lot of different types of soap inside of this. And this is the coronavirus, or any virus– it’s actually just pepper,” she adorably clarified.

“If you wash your hands, your hands will stay clean. But if you keep your hands dirty, you might get sick.”

Blue Ivy Carter had the cutest interaction with LeBron James!

While attending the L.A. Lakers game with dad Jay-Z on Sunday (March 8), the 8-year-old and her dad went on the court to congratulate the 35-year-old NBA player after the game.

At first, a shy Blue Ivy asked Jay to rely a message to LeBron, but Jay made her do it instead.

“I can’t do it,” Jay said to Blue Ivy, in the video shared by ESPN. “If you want it, you gotta tell him…You almost got it out. Yeah, just do it.”

Blue then asked LeBron for an autographed basketball.

“You want a ball from me?” LeBron responded. “Ok, I got you….You got school on Monday By the time you get out of school on Monday, you’ll have it.”

It’s a father-daughter day out!

Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy sat courtside at the L.A. Lakers vs L.A. Clippers game on Sunday afternoon (March 8) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The 8-year-old daughter of the 50-year-old rapper and Beyonce looked so grown up in a denim jacket, black leggings, and Fendi boots for the basketball game.

Also in attendance was John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, who shared a few cute kisses from their seats.

Blue Ivy Carter is an award-winning artist after picking up a win at the 2020 NAACP Image Awards!

Beyonce‘s eight-year-old daughter collaborated with her, SAINt JHN, and WizKiD on the song “Brown Skin Girl” and they won the award for Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration. Blue sings a few lines on the song and she also received a writing credit on the track.

The category was announced at the NAACP Image Awards’ non-televised dinner on Friday (February 21).

Beyonce won six total awards at the dinner, including Outstanding Female Artist.

Tina Knowles-Lawson, who is Beyonce‘s mom, posted to Instagram and says that Blue is the “youngest artist to win a major award.”

“Congratulations BLUE IVY on your NAACP award last night for songing and writing on “Brown Skin Girl” from the Album The Gift. 👏🏾👏🏾The youngest artist to win a major award👏🏾👏🏾Grandma is soo proud of you❤️❤️❤️ 8 years old!!!!🙏🏾❤️ You are giving all the beautiful little brown girls a voice ❤️,” she wrote on the social media app.

The 50-year-old rapper is in a new partnership with the NFL, so it’s not surprising that he showed up at the event, even after turning down the halftime show gig.

Beyonce was also at the Super Bowl and was spotted sitting in the stands with her family. She has performed during the halftime show twice throughout the past decade!

Beyonce isn’t holding back in her legal battle.

The 38-year-old entertainer is firing back at wedding planner Wendy Morales over her trademark battle for “Blue Ivy,” in new court documents obtained by The Blast.

Beyonce and Wendy have been battling for years as Beyonce tries to trademark her 7-year-old daughter’s name, but Wendy is trying to block the case because she has a wedding planning business called “Blue Ivy.”

In the newly filed documents, Beyonce called daughter Blue Ivy a “cultural icon” as she argued her case for being granted the trademark.

Beyonce also said “that consumers are likely to be confused between a boutique wedding event planning business and Blue Ivy Carter, the daughter of two of the most famous performers in the world, is frivolous and should be refused in its entirety.” She also pointed out her trademark application is for “Blue Ivy Carter” NOT “Blue Ivy.”

She added, “the presence of the word ‘CARTER’ ties the commercial impression of BGK’s Mark to the celebrity Blue Ivy Carter rather than Opposer’s regional event planning business” before adding that Wendy runs a “small business, with just three regional offices and a handful of employees,” with weak online presence and poorly subscribed social media accounts.

Beyonce and Wendy are scheduled to head to trial in this case.
