The way B.J. Novak looks at Mindy Kaling has us melting!

Mindy celebrated her 40th birthday on Monday (June 24) with her close friends – including the 39-year-old actor – at San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, Calif.

During the party, B.J. took to Instagram to share an adorable shot of Mindy posing with her cake, which featured a photo of herself, which appeared to be taken at the same exact moment from one of her past birthdays.

If you didn’t know, Mindy recently revealed that B.J. is the godfather to her 1-year-old daughter Katherine.

Mindy Kaling steps out to celebrate partnership with DSW on Friday afternoon (May 3) at Home Studios in New York City.

The 39-year-old actress opened up to Good Housekeeping at the event about her relationship with former The Office co-star and ex-boyfriend BJ Novak.

“If I was on the outside looking at it, I would think the same thing,” she said about rumors swirling around about their relationship. “But the truth is that B.J. is so much more like family now than a platonic friend. He’s the godfather to my daughter, he comes over like once a week. Sometimes he’ll come over just to hang out with her.”

“In the When Harry Met Sally version of platonic friends, I too think that’s strange,” she said. “But when you’ve known someone for as long as I’ve known him — the time that we met each other, which was like 24. Now, we’re both almost 40. It’s such a long time that he truly is just a part of my family.”

The 39-year-old The Office alums hit the red carpet together at the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“The night is going so well 🙄 #Oscars @picturesoftext,” Mindy captioned cute videos of herself together with BJ heading to the event on Instagram.

The Haim sisters flash a smile together while attending the special screening of PEN15 held at the NeueHouse Hollywood on Tuesday (February 5) in Los Angeles.

The Grammy-nominated band – Danielle, Este and Alana Haim – were joined by Bob Odenkirk, BJ Novak, Will Forte, Jorma Taccone, Rebecca Black and the stars of the series Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle.

PEN15 is middle school as it really happened. Maya and Anna star in this adult comedy, playing versions of themselves as thirteen-year-old outcasts in the year 2000, surrounded by actual thirteen-year-olds, where the best day of your life can turn into your worst with the stroke of a gel pen.

The Office fans are going to love Mindy Kaling‘s prediction as to what happened to Kelly and Ryan (played by BJ Novak) from the show, all these years later!

“There is not an insignificant part of me that thinks that Kelly might be in jail. Crime of passion? The character just kept a little bit more and more unhinged,” Mindy said in her Variety cover story. “I don’t want to say that she murdered Ryan, but I am also not convinced that he’s still alive in the world of The Office.”

Ike Barinholtz and Tiffany Haddish happily strike a pose together on the red carpet while attending the LA Film Festival World Premiere Gala screening of their film The Oath held on Tuesday (September 25) in Los Angeles.

The 41-year-old actor and Tiffany, 38, were joined at the event by their co-stars John Cho, Chris Ellis, Nora Dunn, Carrie Brownstein, Jon Barinholtz, Meredith Hagner and the film’s producers Raymond Mansfield and Sean McKittrick.

Also in attendance to show their support was Ike‘s former The Mindy Project co-stars Mindy Kaling, B.J. Novak and Ed Weeks, Lizzy Caplan and her hubby Tom Riley, Busy Phillips, Colin Hanks, Josh Myers, Jai Courtney and his girlfriend Mecki Dent, Nick Kroll, Jason Mantzoukas, Lauren Lapkus, Arden Myrin and Ike‘s wife Erica Hanson.

Mindy Kaling films a scene for her upcoming movie Late Night on Monday afternoon (April 16) in New York City.

The 38-year-old actress was spotted in several outfits while filming in midtown Manhattan.

Mindy took to Instagram Stories the next day to share a photo of the bouquet of flowers she received on set from ex-boyfriend BJ Novak.

“The prettiest flowers from [BJ],” Mindy captioned the pic. She added a “still friends” emoji and also wrote, “White flowers are very classy for me. I’m sorry; white fleurs.”

The note from BJ read, “Congrats on Day 1. ‘Love’ ‘B’”
