Andrew Scott has landed the lead role in Showtime’s upcoming series Ripley!

The 42-year-old Fleabag actor will star as the titular character in the drama, based on Patricia Highsmith’s bestselling Tom Ripley novels, Variety reports.

The show has received an eight-episode series order.

Andrew’s Ripley is “a grifter scraping by in early 1960s New York, who is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy to try to convince his vagabond son to return home. Ripley’s acceptance of the job is the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder.”

Steve Zaillian will write and direct the first season.

“We are so thrilled to have the supremely talented filmmaker, Steve Zaillian, adapt the singular saga of Tom Ripley from Patricia Highsmith’s novels as an ongoing series for Showtime,” said Showtime president of entertainment Gary Levine. “With Andrew Scott, whose charisma knows no bounds, inhabiting the iconic lead role, we feel confident that this will be a special one.”

Also stepping out for the awards show was fellow cast member Brett Gelman.

Fleabag is nominated for four awards tonight including Outstanding Comedy Series while Phoebe is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Sian is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

FYI: Phoebe is wearing a Monique Lhuillier gown, Roger Vivier shoes, and Atelier Swarovski jewelry while carrying a Jimmy Choo bag. Sian is wearing Emilia Wickstead. Brett is wearing BOSS. Andrew is wearing Dior.

The star-studded trailer Modern Love has been released!

Amazon Prime Video has released the first trailer for their upcoming series, which will be premiering on October 18th.

Modern Love will feature eight half-hour episodes with different stories and different actors. Each episode will explore “love in all of its complicated and beautiful forms.” The series is based on a New York Times column and podcast of the same name.

The show stars Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, Dev Patel, John Slattery, Julia Garner, Andy Garcia, Sofia Boutella, Gary Carr, and Andrew Scott among many other stars.

Taron Egerton and Richard Madden look so handsome while walking the carpet at the 2019 GQ Men of the Year Awards on Tuesday night (September 3) in London, United Kingdom.

The guys co-starred in the movie Rocketman and they both walked away as winners at the event!

Taron took home the Actor of the Year award while Richard won the Hugo Boss Most Stylish Man award. Fleabag actor Andrew Scott picked up the Hugo Boss Standout Performance.

More stars in attendance were Sebastian Stan, Guy Ritchie with wife Jacqui Ainsley, actress Aisling Bea, and Patrick Stewart and his wife Sunny Ozell. Patrick was likely there supporting his friend Ian McKellen, who received the Legend Award.

The trailer for 1917 is here!

The upcoming Sam Mendes-directed World War I film will be hitting theaters in December.

Here’s a plot summary: at the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (George MacKay) and Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers—Blake’s own brother among them.

Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Claire Duburcq, Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch all co-star in the movie.

The new season of Black Mirror is nearly here!

Season 5 of the hit Netflix series launches on June 5 on the streaming service. Ahead of the release, the company just unveiled the trailers, titles and descriptions of three upcoming episodes!

The first trailer for Black Mirror season five has just debuted!

In addition to the debut footage for the new season, we have also learned a great deal about some of the celebrity guest stars for each episode.
