Ana de Armas wears her face mask while getting into a waiting car after a business meeting in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (October 21).

The 32-year-old actress was spotted in a cute black and polka dotted red dress with comfy black boots for her outing. Ana also had a black cardigan around her waist.

Earlier this week, Ana returned to social media after a long break, where she revealed she was back to work on Blonde, in which she stars as Marilyn Monroe.

“Many months later, the time for ADR has arrived! #Blonde,” she had captioned one pic on her Stories, where she was seen reading a script in front of a microphone.

Over the weekend, Ana was also seen out for the first time in months with her boyfriend, actor Ben Affleck. Check out those pics here!

Ana de Armas is back in the studio!

The 32-year-old actress took to her Instagram Story over the weekend to reveal that she is back at work on her upcoming Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde.

“Many months later, the time for ADR has arrived! #Blonde,” Ana captioned one pic where she can be seen reading a script in front of a microphone.

Ana will be playing the blonde bombshell in the upcoming film, which is based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates, and is a fictionalized chronicle of the inner life of Marilyn. The movie is being directed by Andrew Dominik.

Back in August of last year, Ana donned a blonde wig while she transformed into Marilyn for an afternoon of filming in Los Angeles.

Blonde – which also stars Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, and Sara Paxton – does not have an official release date yet.

Can you believe it has been almost two months since we’ve seen photos of Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas together?!

The couple was spotted nearly every day for a long stretch of time at the beginning of the pandemic, but the sightings of them ended after mid-August.

Now, the couple has been seen together again. Ben was spotted greeting Ana as she arrived outside his home on Thursday afternoon (October 15) in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Ben was seen wearing a shirt with the Cuban saying, “asere ya, gracias,” on it.

Our Instagram commenters seem to be asking every day where Ben and Ana are, so now you know! The couple is still going strong after over seven months together.

Ben looked completely different in a new Instagram video he shared that same day.

Ana de Armas was this close to not starring in Knives Out!

During a new interview with Flaunt, the 32-year-old actress revealed that she almost passed on playing Marta in the movie.

When she was first asked to audition, Ana said that her character was being described as “Latina, caretaker, pretty” and she assumed that Marta would just be branded as a stereotypical Latina character.

“Things could have been very different,” Ana shared. “I really pay attention to what that little description is. I’m sure whoever did it wasn’t thinking about what that meant but for me, I was just like, ‘Oh no, I’m not doing this!’ What do you mean—caretaker, Latina, pretty?’”

“I’m very proud of being Cuban and being Latina and I will play the most Latina any Latina has ever played Latina. But it also doesn’t interest me that much, all the time,” Ana continued. “It gets very boring, very quickly and I want to do other things… and even if you’re playing a Latina, not all Latinas are the same… I want to think and believe that I can play anybody, anywhere in the world because the stories I want to tell are universal. I want to be able to tell any story.”

Despite the original description, Knives Out was able to show that Marta was no stereotypical character, and Ana‘s portrayal earned her her first Golden Globe nomination.

Also in the interview, Ana opened up about fame as affected her.

Ana de Armas is opening up about her special friendship with Knives Out co-star Jamie Lee Curtis.

In a recent interview with Flaunt magazine, the 32-year-old actress revealed that Jamie has been a huge support for her in her career. Especially when it came to her Blonde role as Marilyn Monroe.

“She is my biggest cheerleader…” Ana shared of Jamie. “I showed her my screen test for Marilyn and of course I had on like a random wig they found which didn’t fit me, so-so make up and so-so wardrobe but even then, seeing me in the part like that, she got very excited.”

Ana added about her role as the iconic late actress and model, “I’m not going to let anybody or anything tell me I cannot dream of playing Marilyn Monroe… Things need to change [in the industry] but you have to actively push for change too… you have to present your version of the character in a different way. You have to challenge.”

Ana de Armas is opening up about what life has been like during the pandemic and also how she has been affected by fame.

The 32-year-old Knives Out actress chatted with Flaunt for the mag’s new cover story, which you can check out now on their site!

Ana has been in Los Angeles alongside boyfriend Ben Affleck during the lockdown, but she says she misses her family in Cuba.

“It’s been so hard not to see them,” Ana said. She also told the mag that she doesn’t want to stay in L.A forever. She added, “It’s a lot, or maybe it’s just because I miss Cuba too much or something. It’s a different experience for me to be in LA.”

Ana told the mag that she’d rather have privacy than fame.

“It’s funny as an actor because you do what you do and you don’t think of the consequences of your job and then all of a sudden you are in the spotlight and you realize ‘Oh this is not what I wanted!’ [Fame] to me, is not the most exciting thing about my job, it never has been, at all. It is just a consequence of my job,” Ana said.

Ana will be playing Marilyn Monroe in the movie Blonde and she said, “All that fame and that exposure was also [Marilyn’s] worst nightmare and it grew in me a lot of empathy for her and what she was going through. It was a really intense time for her.”
