Ann Dowd Cancels Remainder of Performances in Off-Broadway Play Due to 'Pressing Family Matter'
The remaining performances in the Off-Broadway play Enemy of the People, starring Emmy-winning actress Ann Dowd, have been canceled.
A rep for the production has said that the remainder of the run has been canceled so Ann can “address a pressing family matter,” according to Playbill.

Ann performed all roles in the show, which was an interactive production adapted from the Ibsen drama. The production was scheduled to run at the Park Avenue Armory from June 22 through August 8. All remaining performances will no longer happen and ticketholders will receive refunds.
Ann is best known for her Emmy-winning work in The Handmaid’s Tale and she recently opened up about how her work in the Hulu series has affected her interactions in public.
