Heather Morris Honors Late 'Glee' Co-Star Naya Rivera With a Tattoo of One of Her Final Tweets

Heather Morris is remembering Naya Rivera.

The 34-year-old Glee alum paid tribute to her late co-star, who tragically passed away last year in a drowning accident, on what is the one year anniversary of her death on Thursday (July 8).

“It hasn’t gotten easier to write a caption,” Heather wrote.

“You are the brightest star in my eyes Naya Rivera. I’m so grateful GOD LAYED A HAND and brought us together as best friends, mom friends, scene partners, and everything in between. Your legacy lives on in kindness and being ‘that sassy queen’ in my eyes. I love you forever bebe girl,” she continued.

The post included a video of Heather getting a tattoo, as well as a shot of herself posing with the new tattoo that goes across her arm: “tomorrow is not promised.”

Fans instantly recognized the line from one of Naya‘s final tweets from last July: “no matter the year, circumstance, or strifes everyday you’re alive is a blessing. make the most of today and every day you are given. tomorrow is not promised,” she wrote days before her death.

Naya‘s mom also just recalled their final phone conversation before her death.
