According the fundraiser page, Shaniah Scales died on Thursday (June 10) at home and her family was having difficulty covering the $16,000 funeral expenses.
One of Shaniah‘s friends then reached out to Megan on Twitter for help.
“Meg we lost a hottie π our best friend passed away unexpectedly,” Shaniah‘s friend tweeted. “They absolutely loved you, listening to ur songs was something we did every time we were together. Weβre helping their family w funeral costs. We started a gofundme & are halfway there. @theestallion”
Megan then saw the tweet, tweeting back “How much do y’all need.”
The friend then informed Megan that they still needed $8,000 and in no time, Megan had donated $8,155 on the GoFundMe page.
As of right now, Shaniah‘s GoFundMe page has raised over $16,000, and it’s still open if anyone else cares to donate.
