'Sweet Tooth' Producer Reveals Rejection Email He Received as Show Hits #1 on Netflix

The new Netflix series Sweet Tooth, based on the popular DC comic book series, is now the number one show on the streaming service!

Jeremy Platt, one of the show’s producers, is sharing a look at one of the rejection emails he received over four years ago while pitching the show.

“No one is going to buy a deer boy show and definitely no one is going to make it,” the email from an unknown sender read. Well, that wasn’t true!

He shared the screencap of the email alongside a screencap of the show at #1 and said “How it started [vs.] how it’s going.”

Here is the show’s official synopsis from Netflix: “Ten years ago ‘The Great Crumble’ wreaked havoc on the world and led to the mysterious emergence of hybrids — babies born part human, part animal. Unsure if hybrids are the cause or result of the virus, many humans fear and hunt them.
