Keegan-Michael Key Gets Mistaken for Jordan Peele During 'Saturday Night Live' Monologue - Watch!

Keegan-Michael Key is making his Saturday Night Live debut!

The 50-year-old actor made his hosting debut on the NBC sketch comedy series on Saturday (May 15).

“I have been a super fan of this show ever since I was a little kid,” Keegan-Michael shared during his monologue. “I grew up a block south of 8 Mile Road in Detroit and I used to sneak downstairs to watch SNL every week and if you had told that kid that one day he would be standing here on this stage.”

“He probably would’ve been too busy stealing your wallet to have heard what you said,” Keegan-Michael continued. “But I’ve come a long way since then and I am so honored to be here. And because of that, I am going to make the most.”

Later during his monologue, Keegan-Michael took questions from fans in the audience, where he got mistaken for his Key & Peele co-star Jordan Peele.

“Hi, big fan. What was it like winning an Oscar for Get Out?” the fan asked.

Keegan-Michael responded, “Oh so close,” which garnered laughs from the audience.

If you missed it, Keegan-Michael Key has an exciting new ABC series in the works!
