People Are Just Now Realizing There Was a Live-Action 'Pinocchio' During Oscars 2021

Twitter is reacting while watching the 2021 Oscars, airing live on Sunday (April 25).
Among the many categories of awards presented throughout the night, one is now getting significant attention on social media, as people are just now realizing the existence of one movie in particular: 2019′s live-action Pinocchio.

The movie received two Academy Award nominations for Best Costume Design and Best Makeup and Hairstyling at the ceremony.
If you also had no idea the movie existed: it was directed and produced by Matteo Garrone, based on the 1883 book The Adventures of Pinocchio by Italian author Carlo Collodi, and stars Federico Ielapi as the title character.
In November of last year, Roadside Attractions announced they bought the U.S. rights to the film, and the English version of the movie was released in the United States and Canada on December 2. Watch it now on Amazon Prime!
