Russell Crowe Remembers Christopher Plummer After His Death: 'Good Man. Fine Actor'
Russell Crowe is remembering Christopher Plummer by telling fans a story of working with the iconic actor.
If you’re unfamiliar, Russell and Christopher worked together on two films, A Beautiful Mind and The Insider.
“Good man. Fine actor,” Russell described Christopher as he started his stories of him.
After sharing a story of Christopher‘s recollection of how he became friends with Peter Finch, Russell recalled the way he and Christopher had become friends as well – on the set of 1999′s The Insider.
He also said that Christopher not getting an Oscar out of it, was a “travesty”.
We worked together again on A Beautiful Mind. Occasionally we would spend time together after work.
He preferred one on one , a good drink, not just any drink.
I appreciated his candour and wisdom.
As Actors do though, in the big circles we swing around, we fell out of touch— Russell Crowe (@russellcrowe) February 5, 2021
But, when Christopher did win an Oscar in 2012, Russell was one of the first to congratulate him.
I reached out to him in 2012 after he won the Academy Award to say “ on behalf of Finch and I, welcome to the club”.
He laughed.Rest In Peace Mr Plummer.
