John Lithgow Talks To 'Jimmy' About His 'Bombshell' Transformation into Roger Ailes!

John Lithgow paid a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (December 17) and dishes about adding Roger Ailes to his collection of fat, old, bald men roles.

“I don’t know. They just want me for fat, old, bald men. Go figure!,” the 74-year-old actor expressed about his role in Bombshell, which centers around the women – Megyn Kelly (Theron), Gretchen Carlson (Kidman) and Kayla Pospisil (Robbie) – embroiled in the Fox News sexual assault scandal.

“The only hard acting is bad writing. This was a marvelous script by Charles Randolph, the Oscar winner from The Big Short,” John told Jimmy. “He told the story of Roger’s fall the way he told the story of the finical crisis in The Big Short.”

John Lithgow also revealed how he was inspired to make a political satire book of poetry about the Trump administration.
