Naomi Ackie has landed the lead female role in the upcoming movie Pussy Island, which will mark the directorial debut of Zoe Kravitz.

Channing Tatum will be leading the film alongside Naomi, who is best known for appearing in the Star Wars franchise and in the Netflix shows Master of None and End of the F*cking World.

Deadline reports that Naomi will play Frida, “a young, clever, Los Angeles cocktail waitress who has her eyes set on the prize: philanthropist and tech mogul Slater King (Tatum). When she skillfully maneuvers her way into King’s inner circle and ultimately an intimate gathering on his private island, she is ready for a journey of a lifetime. Despite the epic setting, beautiful people, ever-flowing champagne and late-night dance parties, Frida can sense that there’s more to this island than meets the eye. Something she can’t quite put her finger on. Something terrifying.”

Zoe Kravitz looks unrecognizable on set of her new movie!

The 32-year-old actress sported a blue wig while on set of her upcoming HBO Max thriller KIMI on Thursday (April 29) in Los Angeles.

Zoe was seen staying safe in a face shield as she arrived on set for her day of filming.

KIMI, which is directed by Steven Soderbergh, “follows an agoraphobic tech worker who discovers recorded evidence of a violent crime during an ordinary data stream review and tries reporting it up the chain of command at her company. Meeting with resistance and bureaucracy, she realizes that in order to get involved, she will have to do the thing she fears the most — leave her apartment.”

Jonah Hill and Zoe Kravitz both shared photos of them together and fans are absolutely loving these photos.

The pair tagged Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen‘s fashion brand The Row in the photos, prompting some to believe they are perhaps partnering with the brand for a fashion shoot. It’s unclear at this time, but stay tuned!

The Saint Laurent Women’s Winter 2021 virtual fashion show brought out the stars today!

The show – which took place on Wednesday (April 28) – was virtual and had the stars watching from home. Stars in attendance included Zoe Kravitz, Hailey Bieber, model Anja Rubik, actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, Pose‘s Indya Moore, West Side Story‘s Talia Ryder, actress Abbey Lee, and singer Rosé. The highly anticipated movie The Batman, which faced some delays due to the pandemic, has officially wrapped production.

The film’s director Matt Reeves took to Instagram to share a photo of the film’s clapperboard from the final day of shooting.

“#LastDay,” Matt captioned the post.

Zoe Kravitz, who plays Selina Kyle/Catwoman in the upcoming movie, reposted the photo on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “And that’s a wrap for the bat.”

Robert Pattinson stars in the film as Bruce Wayne/The Batman while other cast members include Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and John Turturro. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2022, so there is just a little less than a year to go until we can see the film!

Zoe Kravitz is taking on an exciting new role!

The 32-year-old Big Little Lies star is set to star in HBO Max‘s KIMI, directed by Steven Soderbergh, Deadline reported Thursday (February 25).

The film will premiere exclusively on HBO Max, which just inked an overall deal with Steven.

David Koepp wrote the script for the movie, which “follows an agoraphobic tech worker who discovers recorded evidence of a violent crime during an ordinary data stream review and tries reporting it up the chain of command at her company. Meeting with resistance and bureaucracy, she realizes that in order to get involved, she will have to do the thing she fears the most — leave her apartment.”
