The series highlights “incredible” women around the globe, which she says was inspired by her superhero role.

“I started to understand the influence I had on young people in 2017, as soon as Wonder Woman was out. You start to think about, ‘Okay, so I need to really be responsible and be truthful,’” she explained, via ET.

“I felt like I had such a big reach to people and just wanted to do something good…I wanted to use my reach and my platforms to get to as many people and shed light on these amazing, incredible women’s stories…all of these women are just incredible, and they are the real heroes. I keep on calling them my women of wonder because they are the true heroes,” she added.

“I go to set and I get dressed and I get my costume and sword and everything, I fight, but to make believe. They actually are there on the ground, sweating and all they can to really make the world a better place.”

Patty Jenkins & Fan Explain Using The Body Swap Trope To Bring Back Chris Pine's Steve Trevor in 'Wonder Woman 1984'

Patty Jenkins has responded over the body swap controversy with Chris Pine‘s Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman 1984.

The director re-tweeted and replied to a fan defending her use of the body swap trope in the movie, as Steve Trevor comes back to life by inhabiting a random man as Diana wished for him to return through the Dreamstone artifact.

The fan pointed to Big, which starred Tom Hanks, with their defense and said that if Wonder Woman 1984 is to be criticized for this, so should that film as well.

“Hahaha. Exactly @DustyDontShoot!!” Patty replied to the argument.

Fans had many reactions to the films, and the movie took a slight dip with its second week at the box office.

Pedro Pascal Didn't Remember Being Part of NBC's 'Wonder Woman' Pilot

Pedro Pascal is reflecting on the time that he didn’t remember he was part of the Wonder Woman pilot on NBC.

The 45-year-old actor, who appears in Wonder Woman 1984 as Maxwell Lord, forgot he was part of it at all.

“Getting Wonder Woman 1984 blew my mind so much that anything that had ever happened to me prior, I don’t recall; I had no association,” he explained to Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview. “And that’s not to say that getting the Wonder Woman pilot from 2011 wasn’t a party for me, and I was devastated it didn’t get picked up.”

Pedro add that it was only “after [being cast] that I start[ed] to remember the association and the strangeness of being part of two different Wonder Woman experiences because the first Wonder Woman that Patty and Gal [Gadot] made together with Charles Roven took a dominant position in every sense that in many ways.”

“You can never say this is the only Wonder Woman [because] Lynda Carter will be with us for the rest of our lives. But in terms of our current era of superhero movies, it seems like there was nothing before this Wonder Woman and so to be in the next one was bonkers because I also did a pilot with Patty Jenkins that didn’t go to series.”

The Wonder Woman pilot, which starred Adrianne Palicki in the title role, centered on Diana Themyscira, the leader of a large corporation that merchandises the Wonder Woman brand to fund her crime-fighting side hustle.

Pedro Pascal Reacts to Fan Defending 'Wonder Woman 1984' Against Negative Reviews

A fan defended Wonder Woman 1984 against all of the negative chatter that has been spreading around online and star Pedro Pascal noticed the tweet!

Adam J. Yeend wrote in his post, “I think it’s sad in 2020 that viewers will label a heartfelt homage to past filmmaking as ‘cheesy,’ or that a story that suggests truth and love are something to aspire to as being laughable, or that a film highlighting our own narcissism, megalomania and continual desire for ‘the next best thing’ is labeled as ‘preachy.’ No, not everyone has to like a film but the comments I’m seeing on Twitter and Facebook are a red flag to the state of the world and the human mindset.”

You can read the full post in the embedded tweet below.

Pedro saw the tweet and responded, “This is amazing.”

While the film had initial Rotten Tomatoes score of an 86% fresh with days leading up to its premiere, the score has fallen to a 63% when more reviews were added after the release. The audience score currently is sitting at a 72% while the IMDb fan score is a 5.7 out of 10.
