Peggy Lipton is being remembered by her Twin Peaks co-stars.
After hearing news of her death, Kyle MacLachlan took to Twitter to pay tribute to his co-star, who played Double R Diner owner Norma Jennings on the show.
“The RR diner is dark today. Very sorry to hear Peggy Lipton is gone,” the 60-year-old actor, who played Dale Cooper on the show, wrote. “We’ve lost a beautiful soul.”
Fellow Twin Peaks cast mate Mädchen Amick – who played Shelly Johnson – took to Instagram to write a heartfelt tribute to Peggy.
“I lost a sister today. She was a true angel on earth. Always the coolest in the room. You couldn’t fit anymore love into that gorgeous soul of hers and she shared her heart generously with everyone around her,” Madchen wrote. “She was such a proud mother. Loved her girls more than anything in the world. I will always love you Peggy. I hope to dance with you again in the stars one day.”
Peggy‘s daughters Kidada and Rashida Jonesreleased a statement on Saturday (May 11) that their mom had passed away after a battle with cancer. She was 72.

The cast of Twin Peaks celebrated the show’s revival during their Comic-Comic panel!
The cast – including Kyle MacLachlan and Naomi Watts – stepped out at the event on Friday afternoon (July 21) in San Diego, Calif.
Kyle and Naomi were also joined by a special guest – director David Lynch, who joined via a spooky video message.
In the message, David addressed the audience before being distracted by some off camera antics, including what sounded like someone falling down an elevator shaft and a car crash.
“Whenever David calls, we take the call,” Kyle said of getting to work with the famed director, later in the panel.
FYI: Naomi is wearing a Roksanda dress and Anita Ko jewelry.

The guys were joined by David‘s wife Emily Stofle, who appears in the series, and Kyle‘s wife Desiree Gruber for the event.
The two-hour season premiere of Twin Peaks was screened at the festival and received a lot of love from the audience with a five-minute standing ovation, according to Deadline.
Lynch even received more applause on the red carpet than stars like Will Smith!
Another famous director who was at the festival this year was Spike Lee, who was honored at the Wanderluxxe Gala benefiting Planned Parenthood. Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails by Casamigos Tequila. See photos in the gallery.
FYI: Kyle is wearing a Nigel Curtiss suit. Desiree is wearing a Pronovias gown.

David on where his ideas come from: “It comes in a burst. An idea comes in, and if you stop and think about it, it has sound, it has image, it has a mood, and it even has an indication of wardrobe, and knowing a character, or the way they speak, the words they say. A whole bunch of things can come in an instant.”
Laura on the original series: “I don’t think anyone who ever saw Twin Peaks will ever have it not ingrained in their memory and imagination for the rest of their lives.
Kyle on David’s creative process: “There’s no wasted time or wasted emotions, tangents, whatever. He’s very precise when we talk through the scene, and he tells me what’s going to happen. He has already thought it through, and he sees it.”

The new series picks up 25 years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. It was directed entirely by David Lynch.
The famed director stepped out during Showtime’s panel during the 2017 Winter TCA Tour on Monday (January 9) at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, Calif.
During the panel, David revealed some new details about the upcoming Twin Peaks revival.
“The story of Laura Palmer’s last seven days is very, very important for this,” he revealed, also opening up about the ending of the first series.
“What killed Twin Peaks originally – who killed Laura Palmer? – was a question that we did not ever really want to answer. That Laura Palmer mystery was the goose that laid these little golden eggs. And then at a certain point, we were told we needed to wrap that up and after that, [the show] never really picked up,” he explained.
Also in attendance was Jim Carrey and the cast of I’m Dying Up Here as well as Freida Pinto and the Guerrilla cast and Malin Akerman and the cast of Billions.
