It was just announced today that Taron Egerton will be taking on Robert‘s role in the movie, which is based on the Denis Johnson novel of the same name.

Taron Egerton is showing off his lip-syncing skills!
The 31-year-old Rocketman actor shared the hilarious video to his Instagram stories on Thursday (April 1).
The clip shows Taron dancing to the Nelly Furtado track in his car as he mouths the words to the song.
In the second half of the video, he seems to forget the lyrics and added the caption, “Then this is the bit where I don’t know the words.”
A fan uploaded the clip and wrote, “no thoughts just Taron Egerton dancing to this.”
Taron has been hard at work shooting scenes for his upcoming film Tetris, which follows the creation of the iconic game via computer programmer Alexey Pajitnov, during the fall of the Iron curtain in the USSR.

Taron is playing the role of Dutch-born video game entrepreneur Henk Rogers, who secured the global rights to distribute Tetris on video game consoles.
Just recently it was revealed that Taron would be starring in a new Apple+ TV series and returning for a sequel to this movie as well!

The 31-year-old Rocketman actor is set to star in In With the Devil alongside Paul Walter Hauser for Apple TV+, Variety is reporting.
The limited series is said to be based on the 2010 novel “In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption” by James Keene and Hillel Levin.
The series is described as a through the lens account of the relationship between two prisoners, exploring the lengths that people will go to in order to seek redemption, if true absolution is ever really possible, and if so, at what costs.
Taron would play James Keene, and the series is based on his real life when he was sentenced to prison but offered his freedom in exchange for coaxing a confession out of a fellow inmate, a suspected serial killer.
This announcement follows another from Apple TV+, who has recruited Brie Larson to star in another project.

Golden Globe winning actor Taron Egerton has long been rumored to be taking over the role of Wolverine from Hugh Jackman, who played the role in the X-Men films for years.
However, the 30-year-old actor is now issuing a statement that this rumor is simply a rumor and it’s “just fan stuff.”
“That anyone thinks I would be good for the part is really flattering. I love Marvel, but it’s just fan stuff. There is no grounding for those rumors,” Taron told GQ Hype.
