Halle Berry FaceTimes Into The Premiere of 'Bruised' at Toronto Film Festival 2020

Shamier Anderson holds up a phone with Halle Berry Facetiming into the premiere of Bruised during the 2020 Toronto Film Festival in Canada on Saturday (September 12).

The cast, including Stephan James and Sheldon James, hosted a special drive-in screening at CityView Drive-In for the movie’s screening.

Halle, who is still in Los Angeles, virtually attended the event by Facetiming in.

Just after the premiere, it was announced that Netflix has optioned the movie for $20 million.

Halle, who directed and stars in the flick, reacted to the news over social media.

“I am speechless. Thank you @netflix for believing in my vision, cannot wait for y’all to finally see #BruisedTheMovie. ♥️,” she tweeted with a link to the article.

She also opened up about the injuries she suffered while filming the movie, where she plays a Black MMA fighter. See what she said here…

Janelle Monae & Stephan James Tease A 'More Expansive' Season 2 of 'Homecoming'!

Janelle Monae sits down onstage to discuss the upcoming season season of Homecoming during the Amazon studios panel held at the 2020 Winter TCA Tour Day 8 at The Langham Huntington on Tuesday (January 14) in Pasadena, Calif.

The 33-year-old actress and singer was joined at the event by her co-stars Stephan James and Hong Chau, as well as co-creators Sam Esmail, Eli Horowitz, Michael Bloomberg and Kyle Patrick Alvarez.

“When I saw Season 1 and I listened to the podcast, I was a fan. When I had the opportunity to be a part of the show, I said, ‘Hell yeah!’ I moved my schedule around and I made it happen,” Janelle expressed (via IndieWire). “It’s just been an honor to join this family and to push myself as an artist to give the best performance that I possibly can.”

“This season is much more expansive in its locations and its energies. It’s much more aiming outside that narrative world and not as contained within the facility,” Horowitz said of the new season

“It some ways, this season goes far afield from where we were in Season 1. In other ways, it’s directly tied to the moments where we left off in Season 1 and is intimately involved with more the corporate side of what was done to the men and the consequences of that,” Bloomberg added.

Chadwick Boseman Says He Leaves His Phone at Home on 'Purpose'!

Chadwick Boseman made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Thursday night (November 21) and revealed that he doesn’t really keep his phone on.

While sitting alongside his 21 Bridges co-stars Sienna Miller and Stephan James, the 41-year-old actor told the audience that he tries to use his phone as little as possible.

“Sometimes about half of the day and sometimes I leave the house without taking it on purpose,” Chadwick admitted. “Backstage I was told finally that it is annoying some people.”

“I do it because there was a time that people didn’t carry a cell phone all the time,” Chadwick continued. “If I wasn’t home, you didn’t get me. I need that time, sometimes. I just sort of take it for myself.”

Chadwick then played a game of Cell Phone Profile with Sienna and Stephan, in which host Corden attempts to guess who the phone screenshot belongs to – Watch after the cut!

Chadwick Boseman Makes Rare Red Carpet Appearance with Girlfriend Taylor Simone Ledward!

Chadwick Boseman walks the red carpet with his longtime love Taylor Simone Ledward at the premiere of 21 Bridges on Tuesday (November 19) at Lincoln Square Theater in New York City.

The 41-year-old actor was joined at the event by co-stars Sienna Miller, Taylor Kitsch, Stephan James, and Keith David, as well as director Brian Kirk.

Earlier in the day, Chadwick made an appearance on The Today Show and he also joined Sienna, Taylor, and Brian for a photo call.

Chadwick Boseman & Sienna Miller Buddy Up for '21 Bridges' Photo Call

21 Bridges follows an embattled NYPD detective (Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 Bridges to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.

Stephan James & Shamier Anderson Announce Exciting News at TIFF 2019

Stephan James and Shamier Anderson pose for a photo while attending the TIFF Tribute Gala during the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival on Monday (September 9) in Toronto, Canada.

The two actors, who are actually real-life brothers as well, announced some exciting news at the festival. Their mentorship B.L.A.C.K. (Building a Legacy in Acting Cinema and Knowledge) has partnered with the Canada Media Fund to inspire young diverse talent to move into the arts.

Stephan and Shamier also attended the B.L.A.C.K. Ball that night where they connected diverse talent with filmmakers and industry insiders.

“We couldn’t be happier to partner with the MADE | NOUS initiative. At the B.L.A.C.K Ball, we pay homage to established talent while also introducing the new generation of filmmakers and artists. Our movement shares a common goal with MADE, and that is to celebrate Canada’s creative titans while nurturing the new class of industry innovators,” the guys told Deadline.

Stephan is best known for his work on Amazon’s Homecoming and the movie If Beale Street Could Talk while Shamier stars on the Amazon series Goliath and in the new film Endings/Beginnings.

Stephan James is Returning to Amazon's 'Homecoming'

Stephan James will reprise his role in the new season of Amazon’s Homecoming!

The 25-year-old 21 Bridges actor, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Walter Cruz last season, will once again bring the character to life in the psychological thriller drama series, Deadline reports.

Hong Chau, who plays Audrey Temple, will also be returning. Bobby Cannavale and Shea Whigham could come back as well.

Kyle Patrick Alvarez will direct and executive produce the second season, taking over from Sam Esmail.

Janelle Monae is also joining the new season, following Julia Roberts.
