Salma Hayek has a very interesting tale to tell about her pet owl.

The 54-year-old actress made an appearance on Tuesday (June 15) on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she spoke about her pet owl Kering.

During the appearance, Salma spoke about how her owl behaves, and one particularly wild incident.

“There’s this ball of hair that comes out of their mouth. One time there was a very important celebrity, I will not say his name, and he was really excited about the owl and was hoping that the owl would go on his head because it was on me. He was like, ‘I need an owl in my life. How do you do that?’” she explained.

“The minute he least expected it, he came on his head but then he did the thing and this thing came out, this ball of rat hair was on his head,” Salma went on to say.

By the end of the interview, she revealed who it was: “Harry Styles. He was super cool, by the way. He was super cool, even with that happening. He’s so good. He’s the best.”

“She kinda lives among the house, so sometimes I forget. Sometimes people come to work on the house or something and it’s so funny because I’ve seen really big guys, workers, that all of a sudden she flies on top of them and they [scream]. Not even with a snake they can get so scared because they’re not expecting it. I find it hilarious. I love it. But I don’t do it on purpose. When it happens I do enjoy it,” Salma admitted.

Salma Hayek also recently opened up about why she came forward and spoke out against someone powerful in Hollywood.

A new trailer for The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard has been released!

Lionsgate dropped a new trailer for their action-packed comedy starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Salma Hayek.

Here’s the synopsis: The world’s most lethal odd couple – bodyguard Michael Bryce (Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Jackson) – are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as…well, you’ll have to see.

The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is set to hit theaters on June 16.

Salma Hayek is helping Anthony Hopkins celebrate his big Oscars win!

The 54-year-old actress took to her Instagram on Tuesday (April 27) to share a video of herself and the 83-year-old actor dancing after he won the Best Actor award at the Oscars several days earlier.

“Celebrating with the king @anthonyhopkins 👑 his 2nd Oscar for his extraordinary performance in The Father,” Salma captioned the post.

In the video, Anthony dances around his home in Wales to Leonard Cohen‘s song “Dance Me to the End of Love.”

At the end of the video, Salma joins in on the dancing before giving Anthony a big hug.

Over the weekend at the 2021 Oscars, Anthony became the oldest living actor to take home the Best Actor for his role in The Father. This is the second time he has won an Oscar. Back in 1992, he took home the same award for his role in The Silence of the Lambs.

The upcoming action movie The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard will be hitting theaters earlier than expected, though the release date change was expected by industry insiders.

The film, starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, was previously scheduled to be released on August 20. Then, Disney decided to put Ryan‘s other action comedy movie Free Guy on the schedule for August 13.

Instead of having the two movies compete with each other during the August month, Lionsgate has decided to move The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard to June 16.

The film is a sequel to 2017′s The Hitman’s Bodyguard. In the movie, Bryce (Reynolds) – still unlicensed and under scrutiny – is forced into action by Darius (Jackson) and his wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia (Salma Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas).

Lionsgate’s president of Worldwide Distribution, Ron Schwartz, said in a statement, “This is the kind of summer action film that delivers even more comedy and more thrilling action than the first film – and it’s perfect for fans new to the franchise as well. The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is what summer moviegoing is all about – great, crowd-pleasing entertainment.”

Salma Hayek has been married to billionaire François-Henri Pinault for 12 years now, and she’s responding to allegations that she only married him for his money.

The 54-year-old actress went on the Armchair Expert podcast and discussed her relationship with the 58-year-old businessman.

“Can I say something about your husband, really quick? What a f—ing nice, fun, generous, nice warm guy. He’s super sexy too,” co-host Dax Shepard said. “I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t know who he was, I just heard or maybe read in a headline that you had married a really rich guy. Maybe that’s why she married him.”

“You know the thing is that in pictures you cannot begin to guess the magic in him. He’s made me become a much better person, and grow in such a good, healthy way,” Salma responded. “And, you know, when I married him, everybody said, ‘Oh, it’s arranged marriage, she married him for the money.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, whatever, bitch. Think what you want.’ 15 years together, and we are strong in love. And I don’t even get offended, I’m like, yeah, whatever.”

“We’re touching on a very interesting conversation. There is a discrimination also to rich men. Immediately you think because somebody’s rich, [they] might not be a good person,” she added. “Might be somebody materialistic, might be somebody that doesn’t have values, might be somebody that is even stupid or that doesn’t deserve it. That in order to have a lot of money, you did it the wrong way, there is all this preconceptions and I heard them, by the way.”

“My guy, finished work, no matter how hard it was — and trust me he has a lot of responsibilities — big smile on his face, happy to be home, happy to see me and the kids, make us laugh,” she continued. “We go on vacation, he completely shuts off, he’s in the moment. It’s not just an insult to me. I’m not the one being judged only. They cannot begin to imagine what a joy that human being is.”

Salma and Francois-Henri just celebrated their anniversary as they wed on Valentine’s Day 2009 in Paris, France. They share one daughter, adorable Valentina!
