Russell Wilson is opening up about how he feels about returning to work.

The 31-year-old Seahawks quarterback took to Twitter on Sunday (July 19) to voice express his concerns about playing in the upcoming 2020 NFL season amid the ongoing pandemic and while wife Ciara is currently pregnant.

“I am concerned. My wife is pregnant. @NFL Training camp is about to start.. And there’s still No Clear Plan on Player Health & Family Safety,” Russell tweeted. “We want to play football but we also want to protect our loved ones #WeWantToPlay.”

Just recently, the 34-year-old singer opened up about how, because of the pandemic, she wasn’t able to have Russell in the exam room with her for an ultrasound.

Back in January, Ciara and Russell announced that they were expecting another baby. They are already parents to daughter Sienna, 3, while Ciara shares son Future Jr, 6, with ex Future.

Ciara is currently pregnant with her third child and she’s showing off her baby bump in a new photo shoot at home!

The 34-year-old singer went makeup-free and looked stunning in a bikini for the photos, which were snapped by her husband Russell Wilson.

Ciara‘s celeb friends are loving the photos and they’ve been leaving glowing comments on the Instagram posts.

“Perfection,” Nicole Scherzinger said. Ashlee Simpson wrote, “Stunning.” Janet Jackson commented with the emoji of a kissing face.

That same day, Ciara went on her TikTok account to film a cute video. She captioned the clip, “MamaCita 😝 + Duet with my bestie @LaLa This was a good one. 🥰 #Spanish.” Watch below!

The NFL star and soccer star opened the sports awards show with a message about the importance of the Black Lives Matter movement.

“Our country’s work is not anywhere close to done. We need justice. We need true leadership. We need a change, and we need it now,” Russell said. “I look at my children and I pray for a better future.”

“The only thing that must die is racism. Black lives matter. So where do we go from here?” Russell continued. “I see a world of hurt, pain, and despair. But I also see a new generation, a generation that is calling out in desperate need for lasting change…To my white teammates and friends, we need you to lead too. Don’t just listen, help.”

“It’s important that we keep this dialogue going and this energy alive,” Megan added.

Russell, Megan, and WNBA star Sue Bird are hosting the 2020 ESPY Awards virtually from their homes.

Russell Wilson, quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, is recalling a racist experience he endured back in 2014 just after he won the Super Bowl.

“When you think about the idea of Black Lives Matter, they do matter,” Russell told ESPN. “The reality is that, me as a black person, people are getting murdered on the street, people are getting shot down, and the understanding that it’s not like that for every other race. It’s like that in particular for the black community. I think about my stepson, I think about my daughter, I think about our new baby boy on the way, and it’s staggering to watch these things happen right in front of our faces, so I have a heavy heart right now.”

“Being black is a real thing in America,” he said. “It’s a real thing in the sense of the history and the pain, even my own family, personally.”

He then recounted just after the Super Bowl, standing in line for breakfast at a restaurant in California.

An older white man said to him “That’s not for you.”

“And I said, ‘Huh? Excuse me?’ I thought he was joking at first,” Russell said. “My back was kind of turned. I had just come off a Super Bowl and everything else, so if somebody is talking to me that way, you think about [a different] circumstance and how people talk to you. In that moment, I really went back to being young and not putting my hands in my pocket and that experience. That was a heavy moment for me right there. I was like, man, this is really still real, and I’m on the West Coast. This is really real right now.

“That really pained my heart. But in the midst of that, what I understood was — and [what] my dad always taught me was — to not lash back out in that moment because then it becomes something that’s hard to deal with. So I said, ‘Excuse me, sir, but I don’t appreciate you speaking to me that way.’ He just kind of walked off. But in that little glimpse, even though it didn’t turn into something, what if it did? That’s the sad part about this, what we’re talking about,” he added.

Ciara revealed how she has had to get her ultrasounds done ahead of the birth of her third child.

The singer, and her husband Russell Wilson, had to FaceTime as he waited for her in the car, while she went inside to get the ultrasound photo.

“The life of a pregnant woman in Covid-19 Era is very interesting… Russ had to FaceTime me from the car for our Ultrasound ❤️ We don’t hear to much about US during this time,” Ciara posted in a video on her Instagram.

The couple just revealed the sex of their second child together!

Ciara is holding a live stream with her doctor at 2pm ET to discuss this topic.
