Keyshia Cole's Biological Mom Frankie Lons Dies After Battle With Addiction

Keyshia Cole‘s mother, Frankie Lons, has sadly passed away at the age of 61.

TMZ reports that Frankie died after her years-long battle with addiction while celebrating her birthday.

The site says that Frankie “overdosed at her Oakland home Sunday … the same day she was celebrating her born day, when she apparently took drugs while partying — relapsing on what we’re told was a long, hard-fought journey to sobriety.”

Sam, Keyshia‘s brother, added that the family “wants the world to remember Frankie as someone who loved her kids, and who wanted her children to be together … despite their turbulent history.”

Frankie appeared many times on Keyshia‘s reality TV shows and went on to star in her own spin-off, Frankie & Neffe, which focused on her and Keyshia‘s sister Neffeteria Pugh.

Javier Bardem's Actress Mother Pilar Bardem Dies at Age 82

Pilar Bardem, the mother of Javier Bardem and mother-in-law of Penelope Cruz, has sadly died at the age of 82.

The late actress’s children, Javier, Carlos and Monica, confirmed the news in a statement on social media.

“We want to share the news that Pilar Bardem, our mother, our example, has passed away. She left in peace, without suffering and surrounded by the love of her family,” the trio shared.

Pilar was born in Seville in 1939 and appeared in dozens of films, television program and plays. She has also won a Goya — the Spanish equivalent of the Oscars — for best supporting actress for her role in the 1995 film, Nobody Will Speak of US When We’re Dead.

After the announcement, Javier, Carlos and Monica shared a thank you to fans for their tributes to Pilar.

“We bid farewell to my mother with a heart full of love. With tenderness and a smile on the mouth. And with the soul overflowing with gratitude for the thousands and thousands of messages of affection, respect and admiration for Pilar Bardem. Thank you for this wave of love,” they wrote.

'She Rates Dogs' Podcast Host Mat George Killed in Hit & Run Accident at 26

Mat George, one of the co-hosts of the She Rates Dogs podcast, has tragically died at the young age of 26.

The podcast’s co-host Michaela Okland announced the news on her Twitter account on Saturday morning (July 17).

“I would rather you guys here this from me than a news article. Mat was killed in a hit and run last night. I don’t really have any other words right now. I wish I could contact everybody who knows him personally but the news is already out and I just can’t do it right now,” she wrote.

Local Los Angeles outlets have already reported details on what happened during the accident.

'Just A Friend' Rapper Biz Markie Dies At Age 57

Biz Markie has sadly died, Variety reports.

The rapper and singer’s passing, on Friday, July 16 in Baltimore, was confirmed by his rep, Jenni Izumi.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce, this evening, with his wife Tara by his side, hip hop pioneer Biz Markie peacefully passed away,” she shared in a statement.

“We are grateful for the many calls and prayers of support that we have received during this difficult time. Biz created a legacy of artistry that will forever be celebrated by his industry peers and his beloved fans whose lives he was able to touch through music, spanning over 35 years. He leaves behind a wife, many family members and close friends who will miss his vibrant personality, constant jokes and frequent banter. We respectfully request privacy for his family as they mourn their loved one.”

According to another report from TMZ, Biz had been suffering from complications due to diabetes.

Biz is best known for his hip-hop single “Just a Friend”, which came out in 1989, and was featured on his second album, The Biz Never Sleeps.

Jeff‘s son Sebastian confirmed on social media that his dad died on Wednesday (July 14). He was 58-years-old.

'Night Court' & 'Mom' Star Charlie Robinson Dies at 75

Charlie Robinson has sadly died at the age of 75.

The longtime actor was best known for his roles in Night Court and Mom, passed away on Sunday, July 11, due to cardiac arrest and cancer, Variety reports.

Charlie has appeared in a lot of projects over the years including movies like Set It Off, Antwone Fisher, Jackson, Even Money and Miss Lettie and Me, and also on television with guest parts on NCIS, Hart of Dixie, Home Improvement, and Mom.

He was best known for his role as Mac, the court clerk, in Night Court.

Charlie‘s final role was Donald Jones in James Tyler’s Some Old Black Man.

He is survived by his wife Dolorita; his children Luca, Charlie, Christian and Byron; and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law and dog Nala.

Charlie sadly joins these other stars who we’ve lost this year.

Caitlyn Loane has sadly passed away.

The 19-year-old rising social media star, who amassed a huge following on TikTok for her farming and agriculture-related content, died at the age of 19, her family confirmed Thursday (July 8).
