Rege-Jean Page & The 'SNL' Guys Sing Along to Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License' - Watch!

One of the biggest songs in the world right now is taking over Saturday Night Live!

Olivia Rodrigo‘s hit song “Drivers License” took center stage for a sketch during Saturday, February 20′s episode, which was hosted by Bridgerton star Rege-Jean Page.

In the sketch, Rege and the guys of SNL are hanging out in a bar playing a game of pool. Rege then heads over to the jukebox to turn on his new favorite song, “Drivers License.”

At first, the guys acted as if they’ve never heard the song, since it’s a “chick song.”

Slowly, but surely they start talking more and more about the song, with Pete Davidson comparing Olivia‘s lyrics to Taylor Swift, who Rege describes as a “freaking storyteller.”

They also talk about the supposed drama behind the song, and how many people believe that Olivia wrote the song about her High School Musical: The Musical: The Series co-star Joshua Bassett and his rumored new girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter.

In the end, all of the guys start belting out the lyrics to “Drivers License.”

The 31-year-old Bridgerton actor hosted the sketch comedy series on Saturday (February 20).

In his opening monologue, Rege tries to convince the audience that’s not as hot and hunky as his character The Duke on Bridgerton, but he has a hard time doing that, especially to SNL cast members Aidy Bryant, Ego Nwodim, and Chloe Fineman – who was dressed as his character’s love interest Daphne Bridgerton – who can’t stop swooning over everything he says and does.

“Ladies, I hate to break it to you but I’m actually kind of a nerd. I nerd out on music, I sing silly little songs,” Rege said before showing off his singing skills with his rendition of “Oh My Love.”

Shonda Rhimes Calls 'Brigerton's Rege-Jean Page 'Finer Than Fiction' & 'Better Than A Dream'

Shonda Rhimes is gushing over Bridgerton‘s hunky Duke of Hastings, Rege-Jean Page.

The producer, who brought the show to Netflix, shared her admiration for Rege-Jean after he was named to the 2021 TIME100 Next list.

“You might dream of him, the one we call the Duke of Hastings,” she wrote in the feature of him. “But in reality, Regé-Jean Page is finer than fiction and better than any dream.”

Shonda went on, saying that Rege-Jean is “that rare actor, one who brings an intensity, an intelligence and a precision to his work, providing endless depth to any scene. His disappearance into character builds a vibrant world for us to enter, making it impossible to imagine any other actor playing the role.”

“Regé is a singular talent whose prospects are limitless. Today, he may be our duke, by tomorrow… not even I can dream big enough to imagine.”

There are a lot of things happening for Rege-Jean professionally, as it was just announced he’ll be starring in the Dungeons & Dragons movie, and he’s hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend.

Things are looking up for him romantically, too!
