A new report has emerged about the alleged toxicity within WarnerMedia ever since Ray Fisher leveled serious claims about what went on behind the scenes during Justice League.

Apparently, creator’s of David S. Goyer’s Syfy comic book series Krypton were “passionate about doing some nontraditional casting.” They brought in Bridgerton breakout star Regé-Jean Page years prior to audition for the title role of Seg-El, the grandfather of Superman.

Bridgerton's Rege-Jean Page Explains Why He's Leaving the Show After One Season

Rege-Jean Page is opening up about his decision to leave Bridgerton and why he only stayed with the hit Netflix show for one season.

The 31-year-old actor played Simon Basset, aka the Duke of Hastings, in season one of Bridgerton and his character fell in love with Phoebe Dynevor‘s Daphne Bridgerton.

Each season of Bridgerton will focus on a different Bridgerton sibling’s journey to finding love and season two will revolve around Jonathan Bailey‘s Anthony.

'Bridgerton' Stars at SAG Awards 2021 - See What Rege-Jean Page, Jonathan Bailey, & More Wore!

The guys of Bridgerton are looking suave at the 2021 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Rege-Jean Page and Jonathan Bailey – aka Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings and Anthony Bridgerton – took part in the virtual show which aired on Sunday night (April 4).

Fellow Bridgerton cast members attending the SAG Awards included Nicola Coughlan, Sabrina Bartlett, Ruby Barker, Kathryn Drysdale, Joanna Bobin, MArtins Imhangbe, and Golda Rosheuvel.

Bridgerton was nominated Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, but ended up losing to The Crown.

Kim Kardashian, like us all, is not happy with Rege-Jean Page leaving Bridgerton.

The 40-year-old reality star just recently got into the show, and shared some of her thoughts while binge-watching the Regency set series on Netflix with a friend last week.

After it was revealed that Rege-Jean would not be returning to the series, Kim couldn’t believe it.

Rege-Jean Page Exits 'Bridgerton,' Phoebe Dynevor's Season 2 Fate Also Revealed

Netflix has announced some big news about Bridgerton season 2 and sadly the show’s star Rege-Jean Page will not be returning.

“Dear Readers, while all eyes turn to Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s quest to find a Viscountess, we bid adieu to Regé-Jean Page, who so triumphantly played the Duke of Hastings,” a message from the streaming service read. “We’ll miss Simon’s presence onscreen, but he will always be a part of the Bridgerton family.”

Thankfully, Netflix did confirm that Phoebe Dynevor will return as Daphne, though it’s not clear how big her role will be in season two.

The statement added, “Daphne will remain a devoted wife and sister, helping her brother navigate the upcoming social season and what it has to offer – more intrigue and romance than my readers may be able to bear.”

Rege-Jean Page Wins at NAACP Image Awards; Picking Up 'Bridgerton's First Acting Award

Rege-Jean Page has won one of Bridgerton‘s first awards!

The 31-year-old actor picked up the Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series honor at this weekend’s 2021 NAACP Image Awards for his portrayal of Simon, the Duke of Hastings.

“Wow, congratulations to everybody in the category,” Rege shared during his acceptance speech. “This absolutely goes out to all the incredible people on our team who made something so unique. It is the highest honor to represent us in the fullness of our beauty, of our glamour, of our splendor, of our royalty, of our romance, of our love.”

He added, “It is the highest honor to represent that and to represent the people I do represent and I will do my absolute to be worthy of that.”

This makes Bridgerton‘s first ever win, after the premiere of the series in late 2020 on Netflix. It was also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.

Rege was nominated alongside Sterling K. Brown, Jonathan Majors, Keith David, and Nico Annan.

Regé-Jean Page Joins the Cast of 'The Gray Man,' Biggest Budget Movie in Netflix History!

Regé-Jean Page has yet another exciting role in the works.

The 31-year-old Bridgerton star is set to join the cast of the Russo BrothersThe Gray Man, Deadline reported Wednesday (March 3).

Billy Bob Thornton and Alfre Woodard round out cast of the film, which already stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana De Armas. Wagner Moura, Jessica Henwick, Dhanush and Julia Butters are also in the cast.

The film will be the biggest-budget film in Netflix’s history according to the report, and production begins in two weeks in Los Angeles.

The Russos wrote the script along with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

The Gray Man is based on the debut novel by Mark Greaney, published in 2009.

It also is the first novel to feature the Gray Man, freelance assassin and former CIA operative Court Gentry. The action thriller will follow Gentry (Gosling) as he’s hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former cohort at the CIA. The film is based on the first installment of the series.”
