Ben Platt, Stephanie Styles & More Celebrate High School Musical Theatre at Jimmy Awards 2019!

Ben Platt is dapper in a suit while hitting the red carpet at the 2019 Jimmy Awards held at the Minskoff Theatre on Monday (June 24) in New York City.

The 25-year-old entertainer was joined at the event by Kiss Me Kate‘s Stephanie Styles, Be More Chill‘s Jason Tam and George Salazar, Dear Evan Hansen‘s Andrew Barth Feldman, Montego Glover, Jagged Little Pill‘s Derek Klena, Mean GirlsKyle Selig and Erika Henningsen, SpongeBob SquarePantsEthan Slater, The Cher Show‘s Micaela Diamond and King Kong‘s Christiani Pitts.

The 11th annual Jimmy Awards are also known as National High School Musical Theatre Awards.

Top prizes went to Ethan Kelso, winning Best Performance by an Actor for his work as Will Bloom in Big Fish at Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts in Logan, Utah, and Ekele Ukegbu, who won Best Performance by an Actress, having played Aida in Aida at Elmont Memorial Junior-Senior High School in Nassau County, New York. Both were awarded $25,000 scholarships.

Stephanie J. Block Performs Cher's 'Believe' at Tony Awards 2019! (Video)

Stephanie J. Block wears one of Bob Mackie‘s designs while performing as Cher at the 2019 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 9) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The Broadway star is currently playing the iconic superstar in The Cher Show and she won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her work.

Stephanie was joined by co-stars Micaela Diamond and Teal Wicks, who play the younger version of the singer, for a performance of “Believe.”

Bob also won the award for Best Costume Design of a Musical.

Zachary Quinto & Antoni Porowski Lend Their Support to Family Equality Council

Antoni Porowski and Zachary Quinto pose for a photo together while attending the Family Equality Council’s “Night at the Pier” Gala on Monday night (May 6) at Chelsea Piers in New York City.

More stars who stepped out included Carla Gugino, Debra Monk, Mary-Louise Parker, Molly Ringwald, Orfeh, Troy Britton Johnson, and Victor Garber with husband Rainer Andreesen.

Cher Performs 'I Got You Babe' with 'The Cher Show' Cast on 'Fallon' - Watch Here!

Cher joined the cast of her Broadway musical, The Cher Show, for a special performance of “I Got You Babe” on last night’s (April 15) episode of The Tonight Show!

In the performance, the 72-year-old icon joins actress Micaela Diamond, who plays her onstage, as well as actor Jarrod Spector, who plays Sonny Bono.

Midway through their duet of “I Got You Babe,” the real Cher appeared and replaced Diamond to finish the duet.

Later, Cher also joined the three ladies that play her in the musical – Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks, and Micaela – for a performance of “If I Could Turn Back Time.”

Meet Micaela Diamond, Star of Broadway's 'The Cher Show,' with These 10 Fun Facts! (Exclusive)

Micaela Diamond is the actress playing Babe, the young version of Cher, in the new Broadway musical The Cher Show and we caught up with the rising star to learn more about her!

The 19-year-old actress got the job just two days before starting college at Carnegie Mellon. She also was Sara Bareilles‘ understudy for the role of Mary Magdalene in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.

In The Cher Show, Micaela brings some of Cher’s early moments to life, including her debut performance of “I Got You Babe.”

  • 1. I’m an only child, therefore also best friends with my mama.
  • 2. I volunteered in Chios, Greece last summer to help with the refugee crisis.
  • 3. I pee a little every time I sneeze.

  • 5. I lived on Roosevelt Island for a year.

Broadway's 'The Cher Show' Unveils First Look Photos!

The new Broadway musical The Cher Show officially opens on Broadway on Monday night (December 3) and a bunch of production photos have been released!

Three actresses – Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks, and Micaela Diamond – play the iconic singer and actress at various times in her life and career. Also in the cast are Jarrod Spector as Sonny Bono, Michael Berresse as Bob Mackie, Michael Campayno as Rob Camilletti, Matthew Hydzik as Gregg Allman, and Emily Skinner as Georgia Holt.

The Cher Show includes 35 of Cher‘s smash hit songs and follows six decades of stardom, two rock-star husbands, a Grammy, an Oscar, an Emmy, and all of Bob Mackie’s incredible gowns.

Cher made another surprise visit to Broadway’s The Cher Show, the biopic musical based on her life!

The legendary singer got a standing ovation from the crowd when she made her way to her seat during Act 2 at New York City’s Neil Simon Theatre, and also posed on stage with Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos), Teal Wicks (Wicked, Finding Neverland), and newcomer Micaela Diamond — the three actresses who play her in the musical.

Cher, the cast and creative team of behind The Cher Show are set to chat with producer Jeffrey Seller for a one-hour SiriusXM special program called The Cher Show: Making the Musical beginning December 1.

In a preview of the show, Cher said she loved seeing all three versions of her on stage together: “I only wish it would have really happened,” Cher joked (via EW). “I could have saved a whole lot of painful s—, okay? I wish that they would have been there and someone who could say, ‘You can leave him!’”
