Melanie Griffith is opening up about her daughter Dakota Johnson‘s relationship with her boyfriend Chris Martin!

The 62-year-old Lolita actress got candid about the 29-year-old The Peanut Butter Falcon star and the 42-year-old Coldplay singer while speaking to People Now at the Farrah Fawcett Foundation’s Tex-Mex Fiesta ahead of the weekend in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“I love my daughter’s boyfriend,” Melanie said. “I think that they’re an awesome couple.”

Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin first sparked dating rumors in October 2017, while on a date at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles.

They recently enjoyed a dinner date in New York City. See the pics!

Eva Longoria joins her former Desperate Housewives co-star Marcia Cross on the red carpet for The Farrah Fawcett Foundation’s Tex-Mex Fiesta on Friday (September 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The event was held to celebrate the life and legacy of Farrah, 10 years after her passing.

Marcia, who is a cancer survivor, was honored with the Shining Star Award during the event. Other stars in attendance included Farrah‘s Charlie’s Angels co-star Jaclyn Smith, as well as Melanie Griffith, Rachel Hunter, Billy Baldwin, and foundation CEO Alana Stewart.

Dakota Johnson gets a visit from her mom Melanie Griffith on the set of her new movie Covers on Monday (July 29) on Santa Catalina Island.

The 29-year-old actress was seen shooting a variety of scenes that day, including one of her driving a golf cart around.

Covers is a love story that centers in the Los Angeles music industry, and is expected to hit theaters sometime next year.

The 46-year-old Goop entrepreneur, who is also Chris‘s ex-wife, as well as the 51-year-old Ben Is Back actress and the 58-year-old The First star were all seen arriving for the Coldplay frontman’s 42nd birthday party on Saturday (March 2) in Malibu, Calif.
