The co-stars of The Americans and real-life couple coordinated in black outfits as they stepped out for the awards show.

Matthew Rhys has landed the role of legendary fictional character Perry Mason in a new limited series for HBO!

Per The Wrap, the logline of the series is as follows: 1932, Los Angeles. While the rest of the country recovers from the Great Depression, this city is booming! Oil! Olympic Games! Talking Pictures! Evangelical Fervor! And a child kidnapping gone very, very wrong! Based on characters created by Erle Stanley Gardner, this limited series follows the origins of American Fiction’s most legendary criminal defense lawyer, Perry Mason. When the case of the decade breaks down his door, Mason’s relentless pursuit of the truth reveals a fractured city and just maybe, a pathway to redemption for himself.

Robert Downey, Jr. was originally attached to star in the role but will now executive produce instead.

The character of Perry Mason was created by Erle Stanley Gardner and used to be a TV series in the 1950s and 1960s.

Noah Emmerich, Holly Taylor, and Keidrich Sellati were among the cast members who attended the event. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys were unable to make it.

Noah won the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and Matthew won for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

Keri was up for Best Actress in a Drama Series and Holly was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

The show is up for Best Television Series – Drama, Keri is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama, and Matthew is up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama.

Keri and Matthew‘s on-screen daughter Holly Taylor was also at the event.

Both Keri and Matthew are nominated for Golden Globes at this weekend’s ceremony and the show is about for Best Drama Series as well.

Jamie Dornan joins his co-stars Matthew Rhys and Ann Skelly at the photo call for Death and Nightingales at the Soho Hotel on Monday (November 26) in London, England.

Also joining the trio were actress and star Valene Kane as well as the writer of the mini-series, Allan Cubitt.

There are three episodes in the drama, and they will begin airing on November 28. The show is set in 1885.

“Jamie is so good at playing ambiguous characters,” Allan said in a recent interview about the choice to cast him as the charming Liam Ward.

If you don’t know, Allan wrote Jamie‘s other television drama, The Fall.
