'Call Me By Your Name' Director Gives Update on the Potential Sequel

Luca Guadagnino, the director of the Oscar-nominated movie Call Me By Your Name, is opening up about the potential plans for a sequel.

There has been lots of talk about the sequel after Luca previously confirmed that he was working on the film. He also said that “everyone will be in the new movie,” including Timothee Chalamet, Armie Hammer, and Michael Stuhlbarg.

In the year since those comments, a lot has changed though.

Armie Hammer's Ex-Wife Elizabeth Chambers Reacts to Cannibal Love Story Movie In the Works

Elizabeth Chambers, the ex-wife of actor Armie Hammer, is reacting to the news that a cannibal love story movie is in the works.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you know that Armie has been the subject of some controversial headlines recently after his alleged DMs with several women were leaked online.

In one of the DMs, which were allegedly sent by Armie, he reportedly said, “I am 100% a cannibal.” One of his recent ex-girlfriends just spoke out last week with some graphic claims of what happened during their relationship.

Now, Luca Guadagnino and Timothee Chalamet, who worked with Armie on the movie Call Me By Your Name, are teaming up for the upcoming film Bones and All. The movie is being described as a cannibal love story and it follows a woman as she “searches for the father she’s never met in an attempt to understand why she has the urge to kill and eat the people that love her.”

While Armie has no involvement with the film, people on social media are commenting on the coincidental timing of the movie being announced, plus how the two people associated with the film just recently worked with him.

Armie Hammer's 'Call Me By Your Name' Collaborators Are Making a... Cannibal Love Story Movie

The Call Me By Your Name sequel might not be happening anytime soon, but director Luca Guadagnino and actor Timothee Chalamet are making a new movie that seems to be ripped from the headlines surrounding their collaborator Armie Hammer.

Timothee and Luca are teaming up for the upcoming movie Bones and All, which was billed just as a “horror love story” in the announcement made by Deadline. Armie is not involved in the project.

Now, more reports about the film have been released and we’ve learned the movie is based on the novel by Camille DeAngelis.

THR reports that the story follows “Maren Yearly on a cross-country trip as she searches for the father she’s never met in an attempt to understand why she has the urge to kill and eat the people that love her.”

If you’ve been following what has been reported about Armie in the last few weeks, you’ll know that he has been accused of fetishizing cannibalism in messages that he allegedly sent to women on Instagram. In the first screencaps that went viral earlier this month, he reportedly said “I am 100% a cannibal.”

This project was likely in the works before the Armie controversy went public, but a lot of people on social media are definitely noticing the strange timing of the film’s announcement.

Timothee Chalamet & Taylor Russell to Star in New Horror-Love Story from 'Call Me By Your Name' Director

Timothee Chalamet and Taylor Russell are reportedly circling the lead roles for the upcoming movie Bones & All, which is being described as a “horror-love story.”

The movie will be directed by Luca Guadagnino, who previously directed Timothee in the Oscar-nominated film Call Me By Your Name. Deadline reports that not much is known about the plot, though multiple bidders are interested.

This will mark the first reunion for Timothee and Luca, though there have been rumors that a sequel to Call Me By Your Name is also in the works.

The script for Bones & All was written by Dave Kajganich, who previously worked with Luca on the movies A Bigger Splash and Suspiria. He also developed the television series The Terror.

Taylor is best known for her work on the Netflix series Lost in Space and in the movies Waves, Words on Bathroom Walls, and Escape Room.

'Scarface' Reboot Movie Will Be Directed by Luca Guadagnino

Luca Guadagnino will be directing the upcoming reboot of Scarface!

The 1983 movie was directed by Brian De Palma. While the film is considered to be one of the best movies of all time and ranks #106 on IMDb’s top rated movies ever, De Palma was actually nominated for Worst Director at the Razzies that year.

You might not realize this, but the 1983 film was actually a reboot as well. The original film was released in 1932 and the upcoming reboot will be a reimagining of the core immigrant story told in both films.

Variety reports that Oscar winners Joel Coen and Ethan Coen wrote the latest version of the script for the upcoming movie, which will be released by Universal Pictures.

Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer starred in the 1983 film. Who do you think should land the roles for the upcoming reboot?

Luca is the director of movies like Call Me By Your Name and Suspiria, and he has another very exciting project in the works.
