Derek Hough, Lucy Hale, & More Stars Attend Drive-In Event for Race to Erase MS!

Derek Hough poses for photo with girlfriend Hayley Erbert while attending the drive-in Race to Erase MS Gala on Friday night (September 4) at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.

In light of the pandemic, guests were invited to to “Drive-In” for an evening of socially distanced music, celebration, and raising funds and awareness for this life-altering disease.

Performers at the event included Andy Grammer and Eric Benet. Presenters included Derek, Anne Heche, and Marg Helgenberger.

Some of the other celebs in attendance at the event included Lucy Hale, Victoria Justice, Mark-Paul Gosselaar with wife Caitriona McGinn, Jovan Adepo, Pia Toscano, Loni Love, Hilary Roberts, Keltie Knight, and Logan Shroyer.

The event raised over $1.4 Million to benefit the Race to Erase MS and its Center Without Walls program, a collaboration of top MS research centers working together as a team on ground-breaking research with the goal of treating and, ultimately, finding a cure for MS.

The event honored Multiple Sclerosis (MS) advocate and Center Without Walls founder Nancy Davis’s son Jason, who passed away earlier this year, with a very special posthumous “Medal of Hope.”

The Real's Loni Love Once Was Arrested By a White Cop Over a Cup of Soda

The Real’s Loni Love is opening up about being arrested by the police for “trespassing” at a restaurant by a white police officer.

“I never had to deal with police,” ” she told People about growing up in Detroit. “Everybody just got shot, and that was it.”

Loni wrote about an incident in her memoir, “I Tried to Change So You Don’t Have To,” when she was arrested and accused of trespassing at a Mexican restaurant while in college in Texas.

“Both you n—- bitches is going to jail. Now close your f–king mouth before I close it for you,” Loni wrote about what the officer said to her. “He put handcuffs on me. And that was my introduction to the criminal justice system.”

Loni said she was accused of putting soda in her free water cup she was given with her meal.

“Fortunately I was able to make it out, take probation and get it expunged from my record, but I could have gotten hurt, if it wasn’t for the grace of God,” she added. “It taught me a lot.”

“It took all of my savings, and it’s all because of something so stupid,” she wrote. “And you could say, well she did put soda in a water cup, but it was because we were two black girls. We know if it was two white girls, [the cop] would have said, ‘Don’t do that.’”

The Women’s Cancer Research Fund (WCRF)’s annual An Unforgettable Evening benefit, with honorary chairs Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks and Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg, brought together the Hollywood community with leaders in the field of cancer research, united by WCRF’s mission to support innovative research directed to the early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of women’s cancers.

Cynthia Erivo Reacts to Oscar Buzz at 'Harriet' Premiere: 'Dream Come True'

Cynthia Erivo wows on the red carpet at the premiere of her movie Harriet on Tuesday (October 29) at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Janelle Monae, Joe Alwyn, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Mitchell Hoog, and director Kasi Lemmons.

Also in attendance were Terry Crews with wife Rebecca, Kendrick Sampson, This Is UsJon Huertas, UnREAL‘s Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, comedian Loni Love, Colman Domingo, and Broadway stars Stephanie Hsu, Carly Hughes, and Jeremy Pope.

On the red carpet, Cynthia was asked by Variety about the Oscar buzz surrounding her performance.

“When you say it like that… I think I was compartmentalizing it, like little bits at a time, but when you say it all at once, it sounds really crazy and amazing. It’s just a wonderful time. It means a lot. And to be around this, doing this now with all of the things that are happening, it’s a dream come true,” she said.
